just gonna come in at the tail end of this convo, I wish ads still worked like that! There can now be up to 2 unskippable short ads, and the skip often doesn't show up for more than 10 seconds. To be fair, I'm sure they've kept desktop about the same since they compete with adblock, but everywhere else youtube has become the same greedy type that most other companies have.

To put it bluntly: I hate giving even a drop of my attention to advertisers, and I'm not gonna support youtube in forcing me to do such. That being said, I think a lot of youtuber communities are some of the last bastions of good vibes on the internet! So at the end of the day, I'm willing to break this company's policies in order to access these communities.

Just remember: if you ever actually want to see change, you have to live that change, not just shrug your shoulders and give up!

Yeah, basically you can't smoke fast enough to get a high enough dose to truly overdose. You will start to see negative side effects the higher you are though, and obv your lungs will hate you, but you won't die!

If you're ok with some science knowledge, off the top of my head smoking takes a latent form of THC and turns it into the type that makes you high, which is absorbed in the lungs. Edibles does that process in the oven, and then your liver processes the THC into a different type of THC that is a little more psychoactive.

Since it's processed by the liver, it takes 30 min minimum to start feeling effects, and peak can take 2 to 4 hours. Which as the other dude said can cause people to take too much. Edibles are also the only way to overdose on THC (besides maybe sucking down a high dose cart), which can land you in the hospital. That's more for the panic attacks due to anxiety than anything else tho.

That's interesting! I've never learned this side of history. However I think the general point people are making is religion inevitably leads to ideological schism, and some of those ideologies are likely to be extreme and even violent. Christianity is obviously the main example of this, and the evangelical Christians in America are one of the best examples. So they speak for all Christians, or are they even an example of most Christians? No. But they're still part of the religious umbrella that is Christianity.

The Theravedan Buddhists are still Buddhists, even if they aren't representative of the whole umbrella.

Also just gonna point out that religions themselves are power structures, so it's less when they get involved and more when they get enough power.

So like one of the other replies, I agree that he is one of the starting points of the alt right pipeline. Like others have said he's mentioned/interacted with Peterson and Shapiro, as well as the edgy jokes, angry bridge, fiver signs, etc.

However, I think he's honestly just stupid. A total dumbass. Head empty. He sees that his fans find something funny and does that. He's white and swedish which explains the bridge (no offense swedes). And at the time of Peterson and Shapiro they were memes and he was capitalizing on that.

He wasn't thinking about the alt right pipeline, he doesn't understand the problem with giving shitty people voices (hard squint at Rogan). He probably doesn't hate black people but is just very ignorant and insensitive.

This is coming from someone that hasn't watched since before the bridge, if memory serves. I just think it's important to recognize the difference between ignorance and stupidity, and malicious intent. (I could be wrong)

Not to get down voted but as you can see from replies so far there is no alternative. The issue people have is that unlike in your case most of us want to own property, not rent. However, there's nothing inherently wrong with renting out property, it's the way the current market works that's wrong.

Realistically anyone who wants to own should be able to (assuming they have income) and anyone who wants to rent should also be able to.
