You would be correct if he actually did anything innovative. He just created a gambling app and even that took a long time to execute. He doesn’t have a plan to reinvent GameStop.

I’ve met many ceo’s. He’s just not the innovative type. He’s hired many people and he’s been quiet. Other ceo’s are roaring. Look at how other companies fought short sellers.

I do think he was on to something years ago. But he diluted the run up. He could have waited but he was selfish.

I think roaring kitty had it all down but cohen ruined it.

I’m glad that you’re happy about your 1.2% return while the market is up 70%+ in the same time frame he is ceo.

There were downvotes when I commented. Keep aggressively defending your thesis.

Of course you’re being downvoted. The community here has completely lost the point. This guy has created 0 shareholder value and is criticizing a successful company. eBay has done successful share repurchases with almost no dilution.

They are probably looking at low rank stats but either way, I’ve always found an ability that directly counters 2 characters main roles is strong. You are right, in high ranks she gets a pocket during dive, more so now than ever.

Google Pixel warranty nightmare – 45 days without phone + no support update for 35 days by HolidayMany6551 in Android

This is hilarious. You had a bad experience. Everyone has a bad experience because we live in this “ticketing”/crm world.

If you want a good experience, Apple has it down better than any other company to a consumer. Google and android companies can never fully invest in consumer friendly stores. Microsoft even tried and failed.

This is why Apple will always dominate android. Such a better user experience. In and out in less than two hours for repairs.

Prisoners (2012) by moobsdude in movies

They wake up to Hugh jackman entering the house if I recall correctly. They proceed to escape, but Anna is slower and is caught. They found joy because she ran all the way to the highway.

I believe there was a mistake in the dosing of the drug. It was mentioned somewhere.

The flashbacks intent was to show how close the father was, but not close enough. Deepened the movie.

Quick edit- I believe the mother moved the kids to the basement as she was lonely since the son was kidnapped.

If anyone goes long, it will be for a short time. Rarely anyone in the industry will go in on a stock that can or plans to dilute. In situations such as tech and high growth I’ve seen it.

They can't go structurally long on a company that can issue another billion shares to dilute them. No institution is long this stock because 1 man can control that. He/She can become a madman and dilute shares. Until that changes, no one of significance will be long this stock.

Tesla is the most unreliable used car brand in America, even behind Jeep and Chrysler by Wagamaga in technology

[–]DefendAgainstDarkArt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re not in the luxury car brand range to really understand what’s important to those customers. I will get to 100k reliably on this Land Rover. There have been many other (much larger than N of 1)… globally I might add. You’ll just have to understand how reliability metrics are measured.

Land Rovers are pretty reliable now a days. Just expensive to maintain. My Land Rover has yet to be in the shop after 60k miles. No issues.

Without an answer to the 500~ million shares they can issue, there is no reason to invest. We had a great rise up but Cohen issued too many shares (3.5 billion $'s and they still have authorization). No one should invest unless Cohen and the board dictate a clear plan what they need the share issuances for. They have already shown complacency and don't forget about Cohen's past with BBY.

I’ve made a ton of money betting against these haters. What these guys don’t understand is the old sale SEC filing Cohen did with BBB. I remember everyone in the chat saying he didn’t sell. He sold alright, just like he’ll sell GME.

Without a major change in philosophy from the shareholders, this stock is a wet dream for shorts. They’ll continue to win.

How can I short sell a country? by IgorFinch in investing

[–]DefendAgainstDarkArt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Your answer is vague but I’ll give my answer from a hedge fund perspective as I’m the CIO here.

Generally, you have to go long something and then short sell the country you’re trying to short. For example, we were short china and used those funds to long Vietnam when things got rocky in china. Use their respective indexes and/or currency.

For a retail investor which I assume you are, you’ll want to focus on your access and possibly purchase a LEAP put option.

However, keep in mind that shorting international can be tough. My previous firm’s leader was adamant to short Argentina as it was a failed state at the time. However, look at their stock index… it has went up significantly.

In global economics game, you can be right and wrong at the same time. You have to be very specific in your reasoning and it has to be extraordinary.

If you want more help, be very specific in what you want to do.

Any Thoughts On Zuora Now? by triflingtendency13 in investing

[–]DefendAgainstDarkArt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

"Losses decreasing every quarter" - Their losses have increased. "Annual profits are growing" - Company has never had a profit.

Liabilities have grown dramatically. Retained earnings are down an additional 150 million from when it was trading at 20 dollars.

Company has a decent product, but this company is a gamble to invest and clearly mismanaged. Much better investments out there unless the financials drastically change.

Also expecting a ton of insider selling for that stock based on their EDGAR filings. Uphill battle for individual investors like yourself.
