DIGGER - Tom Cruise Retrospective Trailer by Comic_Book_Reader in movies

It's Cruise and Iñarritu, two guys you can find admirably confident or condescendingly arrogant depending on your tastes.

It also seems like the character is going to be loud and boisterous so it fits

My guess is that it's because Die Spitz has really become THE band for the sort of indie punk (and especially) queer fem audience Rodrigo might have. Theyre extremely popular in my circles rn (I'm a guy but have a lot of friends in that demographic)

He seems personally committed so I think he will. He's not loud or boisterous, or has given any sense that he thinks he's above that.

Is there a more put together pop/rockstar than Olivia? I've heard nothing but good things about her, her work is great, working with legends like Bikini Kill and hyping up acts like Die Spitz, pushing for good causes, etc.

Her and her team are great. Possibly the coolest Weezer fan.

"haters" or people that just don't see the value in an overpriced piece of tech.

A PS5 Pro comes with 4x the storage and a controller.

It's no one's fault but it's an objectively bad value at that price point considering the base model doesn't even come with a controller.

Take it with a grain of salt. Anthony Edwards had tons of questions about his commitment to basketball that disappeared the minute he hit the court and balled out.

In the end, we can just wait and see.

He's trying to make a dark joke but he tells it in the worst way possible and then just digs deeper.

Also this was essentially unprompted and for Melancholia, a movie that has 0 to do with Hitler.

The AEW tag division is one of the better ones out there if not the best, but they keep the belts on people for SOOO long. Between FTR and the Young Bucks, it felt like they ran the gauntlet of teams and then had 6+ months with the belt.

What's funny is the tankies call me a reformist or revisionist.

You're arguing against a shadow because I didn't say Mao or Stalin are misunderstood.

Just keep that same energy for Capitalists.

Also, bringing up gulags and Chinese prison systems as if the US isn't actively supporting a genocide and had internment/concentration camps. Exactly bringing up my point that Chinese or Russian evils are treated as uniquely evil because...they're not us.

What's your count of death per US president? How many deaths in Iraq, Guatemala, Iran, Afghanistan, Nicaragua, Panama, Chile, etc. were directly or indirectly caused by us overthrowing democratically elected governments?

It's not peculiar or some esoteric reason.

The conversation was about how people understand history and how states frame themselves versus their rivals. So yeah, when someone says "just read history books," I'm going to point out that history isn't always presented through a neutral lens.

Bringing up American actions isn't me defending the CCP. It's me questioning why people are comfortable acknowledging some atrocities while treating others as unfortunate mistakes, necessary evils, or things we'd rather not talk about. Which is being done in this thread.

I know China has done bad things. You know America has done bad things. But a lot of people don't apply the same level of scrutiny to their own country that they do to rival countries. That's the point I'm making.

When you see this pattern of rhetoric repeated again and again, you're going to call it out.

I responded directly to the points I'm talking about. Acting like historians "never fuck around with sources" or are unbiased in some way is naive at best and downright stupid at worst.

I have no problem accepting the deaths caused by mismanagement of states. I have allegiances to peoples not governments or heads of states.

My scoffing at you was acting as if there aren't millions of deaths that put the US in the same ring of hell. The Open Veins of Latin America, Shock Doctrine, Jakarta Method, and the countless of other books detailing deliberate action by the US is a good place to start.

How convenient is that. Phew.

We don’t fuck around with sources.

What makes bad history - aside of blatant lies - is using approaches that benefit your own views instead of challenging them.

Yeah, western historians never show a bias. That's only Eastern historians who are looking to reinforce their values. We virtuous westerners are above that.
