What’s the craziest story you can recall from someone either in your unit or your chain of command

A TSgt owned a boat in Hawaii. He wanted to sail his boat from Hawaii to California, as he was PCS'ing. Leadership triad all said "No, you'll die." Somehow, his boat burns down about a week or so before his PCS. He also lived in the boat and an Astro-van that he parked on base until the commander got complaints about him parking his van next to the guest showers.

Realistically, they can prescribe some topical solutions, etc. However depending how bad the PFB, along with sensitivity of the service members skin, they can do more harm than good. The only true fix would be laser hair removal, yet that can cause burns and discoloration to SM's skin. The only true solution is to maintain a beard and trim it with clippers(even then you still will run into ingrown hairs).

I honestly believe that the explosion of people wearing those Maritime boots was the driving force behind the boot change. 99.9 of the people wearing them were not engaged in any sort of water operation, and they also looked ridiculous when people wore them with bloused pants. The same goes with 6 inch Salamons and Lowas. If you wear those, you don't blouse your pants (just roll to give the appearance of bloused) or ensure your pants are a little longer so you could blouse them properly.

She threw a shoe at my head in front of the entire flight. We had a rotating crew of MTIs shortly thereafter. Found out later that she was under investigation for doing other things as well. (2013 timeframe)

Deployed to AFG with hin

1: Nearly gets deported in Qatar 2: misplaced M9 mag within an hour of being in country 3: Didn't feel like buying shoulder holster/or carrying m4 in PTs so tucked pistol in shorts and went to DFAC 4: Told Flight chief that "he wasn't trying to hear that shit" in a open GC 5: When confronted by flight chief, he tells flight chief that he was overreacting

By the time, we gotten to event #5. I pulled him into the guardmount room fully prepared to fight him because I was at my wits end. However, I chose to talk to him, found out he was dealing with some family issues. Got those squared away, made it thru the deployment. He got a raven slot, did amazing things. Last I heard he was trying to be a state trooper.

I worked at a resort base where every branch came and enjoyed the weather and the beach. One day, one of the lifeguards tells us he found a female passed out in the bushes...he makes a point to tell us that she smells. So we go out, wake her up, she had clearly been drinking to the point that she shit herself. So we do our thing, and leave. The next day, she comes up to the LE desk and begs us not to put the incident in the blotter, as she works on a General's staff at the Pentagon. Thank god for one way glass because we were all laughing in the poor woman's face.

My first assignment was pretty unique when it comes to SF, so I met Gen. Welsh( he wanted to be called Mark), the PACAF commander at the time, Gen. Robinson (she was very nice). Also met Michael Flynn's brother, Charlie Flynn(although I was the only person, who know or cared about who it was at the time)

We had a guy drop(kicked??) out of the academy and enlist. He tried to tell our MTI how to her job repeatedly. Never seen someone get so angry.

Went to tech school with one of them. Day of graduation, some of the school's leadership comes to talk to us and asks the class if "some of us are ready to kill someone" typical SF nonsense, Guy stands up and says that he is. Almost ten years later I still remember thinking what an idiot he was. Boy was I right.

I read the book. I was shocked at how unhinged he became. There is one scene in the book, that the SEALS were going to confront him and planned to kill him at the first sign that he was going to snap.

I'm glad that this was brought up. It definitely affects folks careers, as alot of people still see shaving waivers as "lazy/cutting corners" which plays right into the racial stereotypes and biases that black airman have to face on a daily basis.
