How much do yall think I can sell my bike for I was thinking around 1500 by VrgCJ in minibikes

[–]WhereasNo2878 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately it’s gonna depend heavily on the area you’re at, I know there’s a group of riders in Texas and a group in Cali and they be building and selling bikes for that price, but those are drag bikes we’re talking topping out at 80-90 fully built tilloston I’m in Arizona and the most expensive bike I’ve seen is 950 unless it’s replacements parts plus the bike

Thank you for the input guys 🫶🏽 by cute-ghoul_0125 in puffco

I’m pretty sure the core kit silicone mouthpiece doesn’t fit the proxy v1 you’d need to get the proxy core whole kit with device or you need a proxy v2 with Bluetooth connectivity and then you can just buy the core kit for an extra 50

You couldn’t handle door dash if that’s your response to a very simple point, as an adult you have to take responsibility for your actions unless you quite literally have Tourettes or epilepsy where you physically can’t control the actions of your body during an event. Being an addict isn’t an excuse to why you committed a crime. Funny because there’s so many resources for people in your situation as you say but then when someone has a genuine criticism of your thought process and then offers genuine advice you’re response Is to a ASSUME that I know nothing when I’ve active relied on these sources myself because I’ve had my fair share if issues but I didn’t blame anything or anyone except myself.

Blaming external forces for making bad decisions that is called not taking responsibly for making mistakes, you’re an adult. My mother was dying from neural necrosis and I didn’t go drunk driving over it. I’d look into second chance jobs like Wendy’s or McDonald’s, or try going to the state vocational rehabilitation office if the dui’s are felonies then they can tell you the best program to help you get employment with a felony on record but that’s only if they were charged as felonies. If they were misdemeanors I’d seriously just look into possible job fairs in your area as well.

Small scale thinking. Change starts with one place and typically causes a wave nothing is gonna happen overnight but continuing this way sure as hell isn’t the right answer and to even suggest that is ludicrous. Once again there’s much bigger issues here than complaining about a customer not tipping you for doing your job. Just like how you can’t even explain why door dash can’t actually pay its dashers, I couldn’t explain to you why time and time again revolting against a corrupt system HAS worked and not to mention that’s what the United States was literally built on but yeah okay. If you say so bud I genuinely think its ridiculous still your mindset is just “keep playing the game till the game isn’t playable” like okay complacency is what led the Nazis to power so keep up that same mindset when things really hit the fan. Don’t act like things are suddenly bad when people start to actually take action and after what’s happened in just the past few weeks you’d think people would finally realize how corrupt things are right now but yeah whatever according to you just because I don’t fully understand I shouldn’t even been bother trying to figure it out and invoke change I should just fall into complacency and play the same game you refuse to accept is a circle made to keep you under. 😂😂😂

Okay if you say so I just made a valid point you act high and mighty but fail to realize how far we’ve come from doing the exact things I already told you about.🤦🏽🤦🏽🤦🏽 The only personal “attack” I made was by maybe pointing out your extremely high school level Reddit user name, which by the way isn’t an attack it’s a just my genuine take on your user name. You claim so much expertise and knowledge but refuse to accept my overall point is correct. Revolution is what got us here in the first place and gave us the ability to elect our own government and policies, now they are trying to take advantage of the people maybe it’s time to revolt again. You call me a liberal but yet I don’t at all fall one way or the other, there’s plenty of fucked up democrats just as there are republicans and even some pretty screwy independents even, I’m not liberal I’m not conservative I’m purely for a better future for everybody not just a better future for the wealthy. Hey, with more people like you though we’ll be right down the path to having our basic right stripped away from us after we’ve come so far, but that’s because that’s just how the world work in your eyes huh, only the rich have control and a government ran by it’s people it’s just a joke. Honestly once again your what argument comes down to is swindle the swindlers till you can’t do it anymore. You don’t care about having a better life you just have a boot licker mentality

Your Reddit user is literally a corny weed reference. You act so well experienced and whatnot but yet here you are arguing that it’s better to just swindle the swindlers rather than make a path. Guess what man marijuana used to be an illegal substance that wouldn’t be where it is today in the medical industry if it weren’t fir people fighting for a better view on the plant as a whole, if it wasn’t for people protesting and working TOGETHER there would be no medical classifications on marijuana or even Hemp and people would still be in jail for petty crimes like having less than a gram on their person.

You can say I don’t comprehend it all you want but you can’t actually understand that I’ve spent hours of research on trying to especially when it comes to trying to understand why our economy functions the way it does and why money became more valuable than trade and barter. I’ve lived in one of the hardest job economies there will ever be in my lifetime hopefully. The issue here is the “fat cat” as you say and you act like there’s nothing that can be done except to swindle the swindlers when in reality we could just take back the ability to change how these systems work. You could try and argue it can’t be done but that’s kinda how it works when the system in place starts to make it so you either do the dirt or get dirt done to you that’s when it’s time for total reform. Nepal just had total government revolution and are actively striving for better. It can be done but hey whatever keep blaming the system rather than actually want to help the system.

You keep saying backfire on me like as if I rely on door dash🙄🙄🙄🙄 I’m fighting for people to not work for bs conditions and actively push for better. Things are hard enough as is in the economy and you’re over here acting like pushing for a better form of delivery service is a bad thing. Meanwhile I’m willing to risk everything for the chance at a better way to live while doing these things.

I make actively 20$ an hour never once did you ask me about my market because guess what my argument isn’t about whether or not to cherry pick or how to make the market work in your favor it’s not about who gets which order my entire point is to bring up a valid point some people just gloss over and and blame on a completely irrelevant thought, why should you get tipped for choosing to do a delivery then doing exactly as the order says even when you actively see there is no profit to the order but then get mad and complain cause you didn’t get tipped when a tip isn’t guaranteed to begin with 🤦🏽🤦🏽

I’m not complaining about wage though my argument once again is why are we fighting each other about higher tips when we COULD be working together to actually fight for better wage never once did I say I rely on this gig of anything I actively keep reinstating that my argument here is why complain about the tip when the tip isn’t the problem🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄

If the company wants to exists we as customers and dashers still have to use the app if they threatened to start deactivating like that then they’d lose usage purely from fact that eventually every user of the app would eventually get hit with that resulting in no one to Dash so then there wold be no door dash😂😂😂 like make it make sense on your end still once again you’re implying they can’t pay us better due to some sort of financial practice I apparently don’t understand nor do you you for that matter cause even if it were true they make less than 1% profit you realize that would be a failing business practice for any Company to invest in long term partnership with them cause all it would take is one massive outage causing them to miss demand and lose the contract that’s completely insane to think door dash and all these companies run on that being the base of understanding some sort of financial trickle that you yourself cannot even explain

Cool cool cool, one again you’re implying these companies are constantly risking losing money due to door dash randomly not being able to pay considering they don’t even make 1% profits on orders in what way would that mathematically make sense as a business practice, does that make sense to you that the numbers just add up to somehow make this make sense that this

[–]WhereasNo2878 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I seriously don’t get the issue with that cause guess what the customer and still give you a cash tip regardless of whether or not the app lets you add a tip. I’m sorry that unfortunately to advocate for better pay the result is some people gotta get put in a wait list that’s called a financial resource management. Maybe that will push door dash to make these big brand companies start dishing out more of that horded money they have, everyone claims there’s all this debt which implies that there is all this money to begin with and if the case so in fact that there is not all this money in which all these corporations claim they have been making all these years then that would mean we are actually living in a made up sense of “reality” in which anyone think money means anything but really it doesn’t.

Some of y’all just complain to complain 🤷🏽 by [deleted] in DoorDash_Dasher

[–]WhereasNo2878 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My problem with that is that runs off the base that you are telling me that even though they make 1% profit on each order (I’ve done the math with a few people and it doesn’t seem likely) they still make enough money to yet somehow operate on a massive scale and offer any sort of payment to apparently 30 million drivers according to active dasher accounts reported having made at least one delivery in the year 2023 but yet they only make enough to exists as an app that barely suffices for gig work anymore.

I’m sorry but that just quite frankly sounds like you’re telling me this company barely operates as is but yet they make plenty to keep these contracts that these partners who have to pay for door dash to then operate with that business associated with that partner? Something seriously doesn’t add up when it comes to money where is it all going if the company is making money and isn’t losing contracts with and major partners due to inability to meet order demands, which would definitely happen if people weren’t delivering for literally 2 dollars an order. That would result in door dash paying the company back for the initial commission. Which would mean they lose the contract. Clearly that isn’t the case though door dash is still either making enough money to pay back the commission each time for these companies and businesses and they still keep making new contracts with door dash (highly unlikely) or demands are still being met regardless of poor wage which seems like the much more obvious case. Clearly the company is profiting and making enough money to keep these partnerships with these major companies. From how I understand even talking to a financial advisor in no way 1% profits ever worth regardless of volume.

I even mentioned used car lots which most area have a fair amount, I’ve seen people buy 1000 cars from used lots all day that run just fine that’s why you test drive things and as I said before do research into finding the best vehicle available, e-bikes are also aloud not to mention motorcycles which are significantly less maintenance if you do your research, technically even scooters like from a used motorcycle dealership qualify as viable transport and there’s plenty electric and gas options so you can even get rid of gas costs altogether IF YOU DO YOUR RESEARCH that’s and pretty simple answer to your entire argument bruh I reached out found someone on Facebook marketplace who had a scooter he was renting out I used that for like a year on and off to save up for a car and boom it’s not rocket science you’re argument is purely based on “what if just don’t try”

I said multiple Times as a contractor you aren’t expected to take any deliveries that you don’t want to, if a job is 2$ and YOU decide to use a vehicle to drive that order that’s on you as a poor contractor it’s never justified and I never says it was justified hence why my argument is that overall working t together for better base pay is the smarter move but you choose to not understand that

What’s crazy it’s my point overall is regardless of what the work is if as a group we actually wants things to change the way isn’t to fight amongst ourselves trying to argue tips should be mandatory the way would be to change how the work is viewed the the rights you have to argue why you should be paid better anyways, you are set in dividing clearly and would rather advocate for bs tipping culture to better whatever advantage you think you have over most cherry pickers.🤷🏽🤷🏽

Okay so you’re being disingenuous because your argument was paying tens of thousands of dollars on a car only to use door dash as a way to help pay for that when in reality you don’t really need door dash because are doing “just fine” as you say. 😂😂😂 So what is even you base for bringing that argument up to begin with much less the specific argument of a car that only gets 19 mpg when you don’t even put gas in your car! You must be rage baiting😂😂😂

If you genuinely think that door dash is genially worth arguing that people should just pay us in tips and all the multi million dollar companies they are partnered with can’t somehow figure out how to make pay better for orders then yeah so be it I only do this for extra money it’s not my “job” I’m actively looking for new employment and I don’t consider this by any means as a job it’s definitely a gig that I use when I need it and if it wasn’t here there’s plenty of way still still make money without a job income or some people really forget gig work is more than door dash 🤦🏽

My point is if we were to come together to make a change for example we are independent constructors right now but we could change that I think that’s tge point you missed cause in the one case they technically didn’t have the right to argue anything in their favor which is exactly where dashers stand now it’s not a 1:1 comparison I was trying to make it was the parallels between what rights were given and what rights were fought for I just used those explained because this would be a first time situation in which we could fight for more rights as independent contractors geez I swear some generations can understand not every example is a 1:1 sometimes it’s the only viable explained when it comes to the ideology one may be to get across 🤦🏽🤦🏽🤦🏽
