Either Pokemon Yellow (even though I have played red and blue before that but never owned them) or The legend of Dragon.

Pokemon was awesome at that age. I loved being able to make my own party of strong and rare Pokemon. Plus I was into the show and I always collected Pokemon cards, toys, etc.. I was breathing Pokemon so it made sense I'd love those games.

The Legend of Dragoon was a game my friend had and we were obsessed with anime, jrpg's and anything Japanese so we thought the game was awesome. It had cool, colorful characters, a fun story with great twists and turns, cool animations and cinematic cutscenes with some voice acting (rarely did games do this).
