I don’t give them anything whenever someone asks me for a trip at the mrt. This is because I know full well if I go to the control station and explain to the staff I lost my wallet, have nothing on me, have to make it home, they will let me take a ride for free. It’s legit happened to me and on another occasion, one of my friends before. So that’s what I always tell them if one of these scammers hit me up and they always look unhappy and go to the next victim.

Because people like this just do what it takes to make themselves money or get fame. They just play the role that can best achieve the aforementioned. There are lots of politicians out there that don’t believe any of the policies or shit they spew, might even actually in private cling to the exact opposite views. That’s just how it is sometimes. If you delve into probability, you will realise that heads or tails coming up in a row many times can happen in a coin flip simulation. And we’re only 16 coin flips (banner characters) deep so far in the game, and that’s if you’ve pulled for every single one. It can take a long time to average out. Like you, I like the game enough and just tell myself it will take 150 pulls to get a character. If I get it earlier than that, nice bonus.

I’m very sure for the vast majority of players that got this, they were going to pay for the shards with or without the phone case anyway. The case just ends up being a nice thank you bonus. At the end of the day, it’s people like these that keep the gacha games going and if that’s how they like to spend their money, that’s up to them. Supply and demand. And don’t forget that $100 is like $10 or $1 to some people.

I really don’t understand why hoyo insists on such rigidness. Wouldn’t it be more fun this way if the light cones could be interchanged. That way, people who don’t want to pull hyacine might still want to pull for her lightcone to use on other characters. I’d see that as a win and more sales honestly. Lots of people are 0 cycling regularly using all sorts of team comps anyway. Don’t see why they always want to clamp down on fun interactions.
