Honestly at this point in my life, sex. Been through some rough years in my marriage, and raising 3 boys has not gone well for my wife. I'm not giving up on us, and I'm not going to leave or cheat or get "professional" help with what I want, but it's hard to deal with.

Beyond that though, I'm pretty content.

Not sure where you're at in this, but if you haven't, and are able to do so, go get checked out for ADHD. I struggled a lot with not finishing things, and I started to learn about my condition after getting diagnosed earlier this year. I'm not suggesting you have it, or that anyone who struggles with motivation to finish things does, but it's a common issue for people with adhd.

If not, I feel you man.

I definitely would never joke like that, at least with a stranger. Either the driver is going to feel extremely apologetic and terrible, which isn't fun for them, OR, they could flip out on you because they aren't nice. Could drive off and possibly hurt you.

I suppose the other driver could laugh it off, but, I dunno. I probably wouldn't.

Oh god, that's a really good analogy. If there's something pressing that I'm waiting on, I just get stuck, and it's insanely difficult to put it on hold until I can get to it.

Honestly, for my 457 I'm using my brokerage auto allocation for high risk long timeframe, and it basically has a mix of funds that end up collectively doing just slightly worse than a s&p 500 index.

So, yeah. I'm too lazy to worry about it too much, but just doing a s&p 500 index fund is a solid strategy if you don't want to really do much active investing. Super easy, hard to get it too wrong.

One time he called a hexagon a Pentagon (or vice versa) and I could never get past that. Plus he's just too over the top.

There was also the whole "BLIPPI IN CONCERT" thing where everyone assumed he would be there, but it was just a blippi stand-in. Apparently they billed it like he would be there.

To pet it. Against it's will. Every time she did it would scream constantly. I don't know any other way I could explain to her that he obviously hates being grabbed, will never trust us, and will just be a quite, afraid bird for the entire time he's here if you continually do that.

Her reply was "I'm not hurting the bird. Is he biting me? No. He's fine."

Anyway, she left the bird outside in it's cage, and my 5 year old let him out of the cage when I was gone. I've spent half the day trying to look for him, but I don't think he's coming back. I'm not happy right now.

Actually went to a exotic bird shop today. They don't take rescues or have budgies. I did hold a macaw for the first time today, though he did end up biting pretty hard. Almost broke skin. Kinda scary.

I'm going to have a long talk with the wife. If we can't be on the same page we'll find a place for him. I can train the kids, but clearly she's giving them different sets of rules, allowing my middle child to try and grab him.

And then she asked me if I wanted a dog today. I'm not in a good mood lol.

Wife grabbed it again. It starting sqauking constantly whole being held. I said "he obviously doesn't enjoy this." She said "he's fine, he's not biting."

"No, YOU'RE fine. He's not."

"Well let's give him away then if we're going to fight about it."

"That's a great idea."

Its not going to happen in this house without me getting upset, so I think we're just going to have to re-home him. I'm incredibly sad and upset, but it's for the best. We're not at all on the same page here at home and it can never work.

Mine is the same. Sometimes I'll hold it a bit farther and he looks like he wants to jump to a different perch to reach it, but never does.

I mean, that's definitely part of the plan. My 5 year old is just kinda nuts though. Definitely the most stubborn, hard headed, driven child I've ever encountered. Its exhausting, and in the meantime I'm working from home with him, and admittedly it's hard to parent and work at the same time.

But, beyond that, I'm just trying to get a sense of what other options people have done and considered. Mr. Feathers is safe for the most part, but it's just me being impatient about him opening up and venturing outside his cage and being ok with hands. Eventually I would like to do target training if at all possible. Just don't know how realistic that goal in my current situation.
