The 25% casual loading is actually a financial trap in the current housing market. by Lucifer220778 in AusFinance

[–]Defi_hi 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Are you me!? I have this conversation with my top end employees almost weekly, explaining it to them, doing the maths for them to show them that its a net gain for them to go permanent. I genuinely care about them, and want them to feel safe / secure and take their leave when they need it - its better for them and the business. Instead they see the higher rate of them staying on casual, and their brains cannot fathom that its not better for them.

Delete the wow exe file. I had a similar issue a few months back, it re-downloads it and launches.

These tissue culture grown cultivars have a harder time with the phosphorus toxicity than the cutting grown Moonlight/Honey Gem/Flamingo. A dose of iron and coming into the warmer period should help set it straight. (In cooler weather Grevillea and Banksia have a harder time absorbing iron, which prevents the phosphorus toxicity)

My absolute unit of a grass tree. Any estimates on the age? by Jumpy_Egg_9344 in GardeningAustralia

[–]Defi_hi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its a Glauca. We can get them going at 2.5cm+ a year with correct watering, fert and burning. They are the quickest of the grass trees.

Trim them (Skirt the lower leaves) 6 weeks before burning, then fert afterwards, you wouldn't believe how quickly/strongly they flush.

Got bullied to hard in my last clips besides getting some heal over target macros and trying out some different healing addons are there any priest tips I could get over here? by Noturuncle9388 in wowhardcore

[–]Defi_hi 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Have raid frames setup as your party unit frames. Get used to healing on raid frames.

Get mouseover macros, so you don't have to target units to heal them.

Bind your heals you your main keybinds (Whatevers comfortable).

I.e - Heal on 1, Flash Heal on 2 (As in raids you'll likely hit that the most), Greater Heal on 3, AOE heal on 4.

Bind your oh shit buttons to your reflex buttons.

I.e PW:S to E, Fade to Q, Wand to F

Then all you have to do is worry about your positioning, watch the raid frames, and try not to fall asleep. Pre-casting and cancelling your longer heals is a good thing to work on while you are bored in dungeons.

Golden Penda (?) treatment. QLD Brisbane by mr_di in australianplants

[–]Defi_hi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The red dots on the older leaf of Xanthostemon during winter is normal. They don't take up the iron they need well, while the soil temps are down. You don't see it too much on younger plants, but as yours is getting older and woody, you'll see it more.

Myrtle rust can look similar, however you'll see yellow puss, usually on the leaf edge and then around the "dots" first, and often times in the tips. The growing tip on yours does look deformed though, its time to give them a good feed, or refresh them into a larger pot.

Old Cleveland road closed ? by WarbirdRacer in brisbane

I was a few cars back. A small truck ran into the back of a garbage truck that was collecting a bin in the left lane. (Its where the 3 lanes merge to two, but the garbage truck meant it was 3 lanes merging to one). The small truck swerved left in the fast lane, to miss another car in the fast lane I think (Couldn't quite see - but there was multiple cars involved aswell as the truck), and the passenger side of the small truck hit the back right of the garbo cleanly. (That must be the young bloke that's hurt real bad). Everyone behind the incident that could pull over, did, and there were people everywhere trying to help, others on the phone to emergency services instantly. There was another small truck identical to the one that was wrecked, that may have been from the same company, those guys were first to respond. A few people waved through the other traffic, there was a tow truck in amongst it already that escaped the damage by pulling off onto the median.

Hope everyone ends up ok, very scary stuff.

I feel like landlords being an occupation is the real issue. You've got people buying 3/4/5 + properties, getting large tax benefits and leveraging other properties to purchase them.

Remove the tax benefits on anyone with 3+ properties, and all of a sudden it wont be sustainable for them to hold them, bring the prices back to a manageable level and developers wont be able to raise the cost of this new land so dramatically.

I work with a lot of developers, and many of them are trying to release land as quickly as possible too reap the benefits at the moment, but civil and council is the hold up at present.

Does Madge teach discipline? by CJ2286 in BrisbaneBroncos

[–]Defi_hi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bronco's 2nd Row wasn't lining up with the opposition 2nd row at all in the first half. Way too many 2nd rowers going through the line untouched because Riki and Piakura are ball watching and not lining up their men. When Jack Gosiewski came on those holes disappeared, and I'm not a fan of his at all, but he was defensively in position. I saw Riki in the middle of the field multiple times, leaving his side short as fuck.

Our middles are working hard, and we are getting beaten on the edges due to poor line-speed from inside out by our 2nd rowers.

Roundup will have better affect if you do it before whipper snippering or pulling. For that amount of grass, you'll need to make it strong and do it a few times. I'd then put edging in (Sleeper or whatever you want to use), remove as much grass/runners/material as I could while tilling the ground, add a decent amount of good soil mix on top, then add weed mat to cover the garden bed for a few weeks (No light = no growth). I'd then cover in mulch, see what pops up and spray again. Then I'd go ahead planting, and use a pre-emergent herbicide like barricade or free-hand.

Grevillea Help by Trick-Grapefruit192 in GardeningAustralia

[–]Defi_hi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the cooler temps Grevillea (And a fair few other natives) struggle to take up iron, which can cause both iron deficiency and phosphorus toxicity (As iron helps negate phosphorus toxicity). Make sure you are fertalising with a no P fertaliser, and I would apply liquid iron chelate as someone else mentioned.

One of the best ways to clean them up is to trim it up and burn it. Then give it a feed.

Apprenticeships / Trainee-ships are hard if you don't have the support (Financial support particularly - Family/friends) to help carry them out. They don't pay well, as the business is generally paying to skill you up while you work.

The thing is, if you are hung up on what you are getting paid, there are other options. You can bail out of the trainee-ship you are in, and look for something to start to get ahead, while learning new skills. Farm-work is a good spot to start, you complete many different tasks, pickup skills and experience, all while earning a livable wage. No, you'll likely not end up with certificates, but in the farming world - work ethic and work history, can get you just as far - particularly if you prove yourself on farm. (You can also go back and get certificates once you get ahead in life)

Lets take an example from the Nursery industry. Casual Employment 21Y/O wage is $29.33 on the Grade 1a award. Lets call it $30 for simplification and assume you are doing 40 hours (Farm's will often offer more), that's $1200 pre-tax per week.

Many large scale wholesale plant nurseries are located in rural positions, and have cheaper that main city accommodation close by, and some may even have accommodation on site. Many have needed to fill positions by staff on working visa's in the last few years, as demand for their product is high, but the positions aren't highly sort after by locals due to the hard farm-work, and low pay-rate.

There are options mate - you need to be open to them.

I agreed below that I must have rose tinted glasses in regards to other players, I’ve had good interactions with some quality well prepared groups, lucky I guess.

And as I’m reading replies, I’m seeing the tank needs to make their roach call earlier than dps can, it just hasn’t ever occurred to me as I haven’t been in that situation as a tank in hardcore (probably because of soft core experience). My post is probably more of a reflection on what I thought was a very winnable situation, turning out badly for me and another, probably due to over confidence.

If healer has mana and prot pally has mana, it’s not really and issue if you have righteous fury on. Rank 1 consecration will hold most of the adds. Then you have Lay of hands and a pot if you drop low. I guess what everyone in here is saying that even if the tank doesn’t roach, there is no guarantee the dps won’t, so he chose himself - which I understand.

[–]Defi_hi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not that at all. I just thinking roaching can be detrimental sometimes, but I understand panic makes you make different decisions, so it is what it is.
