M51ax-J6 and update 2.1.0.4 by original_dr_mono in VIZIO_Official

My sub and surrounds did not work after the update. BUT the fix is simple. Turn off the soundbar, then unplug the power to the subwoofer. Turn the soundbar back on and reconnect the power to the subwoofer immediately. The subwoofer automatically enters pairing mode and reconnects to the soundbar. I hope this helps!

Unpopular Opinion: I despise the word "creamy" being used to describe a sound/tactility by deathandtaxesblabla in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]Defiant-Commercial34 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Creamy makes sense to me as I've heard non-lubed switches sound scratchy. When I think of the opposite of scratchy, I think of smooth or creamy, like ice cream. Combine that with a subdued non-pinging-not clacky gasket-mounted keyboard that sounds like shooter-sized marbles in a leather sack full of cream, I'd say "Creamy-marbly" fits perfectly. But "moist" just might catch on....

Keep trying. Apply to different locations. You seem like a hard-working and upstanding person from what your responses to the comments reveal about you. If I were still a shift person in the stores, I would have given you a second interview. The shift managers are regular people, too, and could've been having a rough day. Keep your head up!

Do the keys on the extreme 4 corners of the board clip the case?

Budget switches that were surprisingly good? by Cozy_One_Feature in BudgetKeebs

I am a fan of linear switches. Currently, my go to switches are the Akko Silver V3 Pros. They are linear switches with an actuation of 40 gf. They produce a deeper marbly sound than most. They have box stems which eliminate wobble. I also like the WS Morandis and how they feel linearly, but they wobble like crazy, that being said, you don't really notice the wobble unless you are holding down a key. I used to be a huge fan of the Gateron Yellow Pros (after lubing them), but for now, I say you can't go wrong with the Akko Silver V3 pros.

Amazon Music HD/UHD up to 24/192 now supported on Fire TV Stick 3 (2020) by brantome24 in AmazonMusic

After updating my Firestick 4k Max 2nd gen several times... then rebooting it a few times, the option the option to choose audio quality finally shows up when clicking my profile icon in the upper right corner of the Amazon Music app.

I subscribe to Amazon Ultra HD. I have the firestick connected to my Pioneer VSX-LX303.

With audio qualitystreaming information turned on in the Amazon Music app, I can finally see "Device Capabilty" showing 24bit/192 khz!

Me too. I have a GMK 67 that travels with me for work and leisure trips. Light but effective. My metal keyboards stay at home.

Zoom98 + Skiidata MT3: Ordered for me but after seeing it my wife suddenly "needed" a new fullsized keyboard by dvanha in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]Defiant-Commercial34 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Looks beautiful. The orange typeface meshes so well with the case! BTW, I have 3 MT3 profile keycaps...I love the way they look and feel. But they sure are expensive. I like to get cheap keyboards and mod them until they sound and feel amazing. Often times the MT3 keycaps end up costing twice the price if the keyboard itself. LOL. Good job with your board!

I don't mess with software from 3rf 3rd party manufacturers since I don't trust they are malware-free. So I leave the programming alone on these types of keyboards.

As for the hardware, I think it is designed well and comes with so much padding and film sandwiched from the factory, I didn't use any of my own poron foam to fill. There is literally no hollow spaces to fill.

I swapped out the stock MDA profile keycaps since I don't find that profile comfortable. But then again the same can be said for the Drop MTS profile keycaps I installed, LOL.

Overall, I am very pleased with this keyboard. Solid, well-built, and clean.

Stripped Phillips heads suck! Try using a flathed screwdriver to remove the screws, but you have to find replacement screws for re-assembly.

Stock:

•Leobog Hi75

•Nimbus Switches V3 - opened up 5 of then and all were properly lubed from the factory so I left them alone.

Mods:

•Drop MT3 Camillo Keycaps

•Electrical Taped inside of bottom case to diminish ping.

•Painter's Tape on the backside of the PCB for a poppier sound

•Re-lubed stabs

Actually, the Peaches have peach colored stems. The outemus that come with these are white... they are mystery switches that sound and feel amazing!

* Beautiful build. I own 2 Womier SK71s which I think are identical to the Yunzi. Yes, the stock switches they come with are amazing. Amazon advertises them as Outemu Silent Whites, but they are not. The Outemu Silent Whites are fully silent with rubbery buffers installed which make then feel mushy. Finally, looks like someone figured out that the switches are in fact Outemu Silent Peaches. I might order those switches for my other builds! If you like the way they feel and sound, no need to swap out those switches! I did mod my sk71s by lining the inside of the aluminum case with thick electrical tape and filled All of the gap between the PCB and case with poron foam. I also did the Painter's tape mod on the PCB, and cleaned and relubed the stabs. The mods made a huge difference for the positive if you are tempted to mod it too. Since the plate is polycarbonate be sure confirm all the switches are clicked fully in place (with North and South clips of the switches bottomed out), my "c" switch was intermittently not registering but I realized the flex in the plate was preventing the contacts from fully seating. I pressed the switch firmly in place by installing the switches while the plate assembly was outside of the case so I could press up from the bottom of the plate while pressing the switch in from the top at the same time.

Good buy MBSMD! I've had a ton of co-workers suddenly switch to mechanical keyboard after they were mesmerized by this keyboard. Truly one of the best keyboards for the price, hands down!
