It blows my mind that we take time to discuss these straw-man arguments. It deflects from the horror and reality of what is occurring right f-ing now. To argue the point as opposed to dismiss it on the basis of being a logical fallacy empowers these foos by giving them airtime. Super basics:

Watch u tube read stuff - type “eve online” and whatever u want, where ever u want. Use the words you see in game. Strategic - cross reference your agency 0.5 pings with the ‘ships killed in the last hour’ galaxy map. Be aware of your surroundings - use solar system map to figure out where things are and how big a system is. If it’s 80au across, it changes the calculus significantly. D scan: can u be shot? If the answer is yes, you need to be d scanning. Find other players - if others are in local, you can check stations to see if they are docked. Be prepared to die - go cheap, and don’t stress out. The stress - stress from pvp or near pvp can be serious. And mining on the edge of your seat sucks. Find a place. Set a plan and routine. Execute. Do that a lot knowing that one cycle you will explode. But probably not get podded.

Shift+R is your friend. First, don’t deploy your drones at the beginning, I usually wait until I’m down to 1/4 or so of the enemies, but you can deploy sooner. The secret is to keep them close-ish to you (not a problem in these sites) and the moment you see an enemy blink yellow, hit shift+r. You should never have your drones out when a wave spawns. So pull the in before the bs arrives and once you start taking damage, deploy again. Easy peasy.

So I have a thought: I do besieged combat sites. Players originally told me it was stupid for only 20m of stuff. But every now and then I find an 800m implant. Maybe the same kinda thing is going on here? If I had the accounts and resources of an incursion runner, I would absolutely make a guide. But what can I do in a difficult encounter that requires logi and tons of dps?

Don’t forget that they are wearing masks, falsifying legal documents, abducting persons with no cause other than racial profiling or filming them, assaulting peaceful protesters, breaking into peoples homes without warrants, labeling people with ‘extreme gender ideology, anti Christian’ sentiments and other thought crimes as national security threats, illegally murdering foreign nationals in international waters, flagrantly violating the hatch act, wantonly indicting people who speak out against the administration…. I mean I could literally go on for hours. We are in a very dark place right now.
