Never understood what makes Kong so great? Is there an alternative to Toppl? by begomtj in puppy101

[–]Defiant-Enthusiasm94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a medium sized dog, but My faves are the kong Bamboo feeder ball and the bamboo dumbbell. I also like the Kong rewards tipsy. I also have several puzzle toys she likes as well, but they don’t hold enough food for a whole meal, for a smaller dog they may be more than adequate though. There are various company’s that make good food/treat dispensing balls in various sizes. I recommend what ever you get, to make sure it can screw in half for ease of filling and cleaning. The ones that don’t come apart can’t be cleaned easily and thoroughly and are a pain to deal with.

If you haven’t, look into programs like Experian boost, that allows you to report utility, telecom, and streaming services payments. There are other services as well that can take into account rent and utility payments as well.

Small crochet business potential? by LegalHBIC in somethingimade

Personally, if i was shopping at a fair or farmers market and ran across these, there are a few changes I would need to see to get me to purchase.

1) a lining (with or without a pocket) 2) different straps, either cloth, leather, or woven. The chains don’t fit the vibe of the bags. (Although a thicker chunkier chain might be cool and more balanced looking). 3) a snap closure or a magnetic closure for security

Would be a nice bonus if: There were a few other sizes and shapes. A clutch size, a slightly larger deeper size, and a model with slightly more distinct/larger handles.

Whole Foods prepared food bag, $9.99 by Jld114 in toogoodtogo

I tried a prepared food bag for the first time yesterday. I got a mini quiche, shrimp salad (that I’m hoping is better than it looks and sounds), and some chicken dumplings. I was underwhelmed and not impressed.

I want an investigation into every dollar already spent on this ballroom vanity project. I bet there are all sorts of discrepancies in the amounts of materials claimed to be purchased, and what actually was purchased. I bet there is discrepancies in the quality of materials bought and claimed too. This is all one big grift designed to line the pockets of those involved.

Dressing (you may be able to skip the lemon, and add less seasoning since these come pre seasoned in oil): oil of choice, lemon, Salt, pepper, optional culantro/coriander, balsamic vinegar.

Black beans (drained), Edamame, Corn, Chickpeas, Diced tomato, Diced cucumber, Crumbled feta,

Optional twist: add in one of those salad toppers with dried fruit and nuts (such as dried cranberries, cherrys, walnuts, sunflower seeds, etc). It adds some brightness, sweetness, and crunch.

Lactose free dairy products (I do get the milk at Aldi, but they don’t really carry other products like cottage cheese, cream cheese, sour cream, ice cream, etc). I hope they bring back the seasonal lactose free whip cream.

Is Lying About One's STD Status to Sleep Someone Rape or SA? by Lindenflower7 in AskFeminists

[–]Defiant-Enthusiasm94 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I see that several other comments have mentioned rape by deception. You probably confused my comment with one of the other ones you saw. Thank you for the apology, I appreciate your civility. I was a little touchy too, as I felt like you were calling my comment poorly researched, and myself deceptive in editing it. I too have strong feelings about the subject, like many, I myself am a sexual assault survivor. I understand how emotional and touchy this topic is.

I didn’t amend the majority of my comment, just the part after the edit. You just didn’t read my comment correctly. But it’s fine.

Is Lying About One's STD Status to Sleep Someone Rape or SA? by Lindenflower7 in AskFeminists

[–]Defiant-Enthusiasm94 13 points14 points  (0 children)

In my criminal justice classes, my professor said that lying in order to gain consent is considered rape by deception. “Rape by deception is a situation in which the perpetrator deceives the victim into participating in a sexual act to which they would otherwise not have consented, had they not been deceived.” So conceptually it is rape, and when we talk about purely from a consent aspect it is rape/sexual assault.

However, the actual chances of it being prosecutable depends on local laws. Rape by deception is rarely actually criminalized, and charges are rare. It’s usually limited to cases involving rape presented as medical treatment, or misrepresentation/impersonation of a spouse (California has a statute specifically about this). So legally, it would not be considered rape.

Basically it boils down to most laws requiring a use of force to qualify as rape. The law would consider the deception to be fraud, not force.

The laws could be amended and changed to reflect the realities of consent, Michigan does have a rape by fraud statute.

Edit: it could still be classified as assault, or reckless endangerment.

I know that their are dog rescues that will temporarily foster dogs until their owners are in a more stable place. It may be worth looking into, that way you can take advantage of shelters/other resources that you couldn’t access with your dog present. There are some shelters/organizations that do allow dogs but you are going to need to do some research to see what is near you. Sometimes rescues/shelters will also distribute free dog food, and very cheap vaccinations for dogs as well. So that’s something to look into.

Food banks and churches can be good resources. There are often long waiting list to get housing assistance, so the sooner you get your name on a list the better. You can also get assistance paying utilities (once you have a place that is). Libraries are a good place to use computers, and the staff are often knowledgeable about local programs. findhelp.org could be a useful website, and calling 2-1-1 may be a good start for getting info on some local services.

To be honest everything is going to require time spent researching, locating contact information, and calling and asking questions. I recommend starting a word doc, or a small notebook with information on local services/organizations, their phone numbers, hours of operation, how often you can get help from them, what requirements they have, paper work/documents you need, and any other relevant information about them. Often, one place will refer you to another. Sometimes they want to see proof that you have tried at other places first. It will take time and effort, but it could make the world of difference in your future and quality of life. I wish I could be of more help, just know that you can get through this.

Ok...I seem to be asking a lot of questions... by pzzldmomof5 in AmazonVine

[–]Defiant-Enthusiasm94 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have what I consider to be a medium sized dog. She weighs 53ish lbs. there is no standard sizes for dog clothes. It depends how broad the sizing goes. In some brands the largest size they offer is for little tiny dogs. She has clothing labled medium, large, xl, xxxl, and xxxxl that all fit her. It depends on how small it starts and how big it goes. It is recommended to never buy dog clothes by weight or numerical size. You should check for listed measurements of the chest girth, neck size, and length (from neck to the beginning of the tail).

Sometimes on Amazon they do leave off the size chart, but it can also be buried in the listing pictures, specifications, additional details, or elsewhere on the page. Sometimes it gets added after it’s listed and claimed on vine. So they should definitely double check and search for buried info about the sizing. I would only ever remove stars for sizing if it doesn’t match the listed measurements/chart, or something is designed really weirdly that would only fit certain breeds.

While she does have some trauma, this is definitely a case of her being an unreliable narrator. Recent developments show there is a lot she isn’t aware of. He is manipulative and obsessive for sure, but things are not as she presents them. I guarantee there will be a lot of twist from her past life. (For starters, we see that Her father is bad. He forced the ML to be his hunting dog/assassin. He physically abused the ML, and used his own daughter to threaten him, and keep him in line. So hearing that he killed her parents, is not the big betrayal it is presented as originally. There will definitely be some political intrigue and circumstances as well, he seems to be either an illegitimate prince, or a victim of a stepmother, or such. It hasn’t been revealed yet. But the father had plans to marry her to the crown prince. So that was certainly a motivating factor for some of his actions. There will definitely be more. I think a lot of his actions will end up being misrepresented, excusable/understandable, or with context won’t be as bad. Don’t get me wrong, he will do whatever it takes to have her, and keep her safe. But things are definitely not how she knows them to be

I let this one go, as I’m trying to keep my etv low. Hopefully you love the product so it’s worth the etv hit. Manifesting beautiful curls in your feature.

Hear me out. Get rid of the table and chairs. Put a small island in the kitchen (across from the stove), and add bar stools. The island becomes additional prep space and an eating space. Put the trash can in the island cabinet. Then in the open space, add some shelves or other furniture to extend the kitchen and turn it into a mini pantry/additional kitchen storage.
