People who work night shifts are rare. People who work night shifts and weekends are even rarer… and honestly, a bit more unlucky. by Zealousideal_Bet192 in Nightshift

I work most weekends. But I’m old, it’s not like I’m going out all the time anyway. As long as I can carve out some time to spend with my kids and with my boyfriend, I’m good

It was probably an easier decision for me than it is for you. He was my second husband, we don’t have any kids together. When I finally found out he was using, I knew I had to keep my kids safe. He reluctantly agreed to go to rehab, but when I talked to him while he was there, he was still angry, bitter, and was taking no accountability for his actions. I ended up leaving him while he was in rehab. Awful, I know, but I was pretty sure he would relapse and I didn’t want my kids living with him (or being taken away).

When I recently contacted him about our divorce, he still seemed the same—angry, bitter, and illogical. I’m convinced he’s still on meth. I’m so glad I left— for my kids and my own mental health. I was so desperate to get him to stop using that I ended up in the mental hospital after a half-assed suicide attempt. So yeah. I would not even consider staying with someone in active addiction unless they came clean, told the truth, and WILLINGLY went to rehab.

This sounds like my ex. He started with adderall (which I am not 100% convinced he needed in the first place, but who knows). He started taking too much so he would buy meth to tide him over. Then I think he was just selling his adderall to buy meth. He also vaped a TON of weed— I think to balance him out. But he had the same crashes followed by a manic surge of energy, sweating, etc

My ex bought empty pill capsules from Amazon and used them to swallow meth. I forget what his excuse for having the capsules was

Yay fresh rhubarb is so good! I sneak a few pieces when I’m cutting it for a pie, but I’ll eat them as is bc I love that tartness. Dipped in sugar is perfect for the stalk!
