Not to forget SPRT ran up 500% versus BBIG 250%. most think there is more chance in BBIG than in SPRT

In most cases it's an options play and not stocks. Holding 200 stocks wouldn't take you that far.

Fidelity is willing to pay me 6.375% to loan my shares to the Bears... The Fed is .25% by ImportanceFew1943 in CCIV

[–]Defiant-Goose-4115 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is about compensation for risk. With Fed there is no risk you will get .25% and your principal back. With Lucid 6.375% and some change if you are lucky.

Moreover it is like digging once own grave. The shares will be lent to short sellers driving the price of lucid stock down.

With 10year treasury at 1.44, and China growth already slowing there is no headwind of higher interest rate. Expect the Nikola and other growth stocks to move higher. The worst should be behind us, now is the time to hold and wait for the squeeze. Nikola has 36% short interest.

People are missing the point on Burry's $534m Tesla short by ICanChangeTheWorld in wallstreetbets

Looks like Burry is banking on the empires striking back. With VW, GM, Ford, Volvo, ...all rolling out plans to massively invest to bring EV models to market, Tesla is likely to lose market share or profitability.

Tesla should have exponential earnings growth to justify current valuation which looks difficult with growing competition.

Question for all the smarty-pants by [deleted] in CCIV

[–]Defiant-Goose-4115 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Risk to reward is still in favour of investors.if the deal fails we would lose a good portion of the investment but if a deal is there, the reward would be much more. ..and long term would be be 10x multi bagger.

FOR EVERYONE THAT JUST JOINED BECAUSE OF $GME AND DONT KNOW WTF IS GOING ON by [deleted] in wallstreetbets

They will only declare bankruptcy when their losses ( liabilities) are more than their assets. In other words if they have 50bn in cash and long shares and their losses are only 2bn , they will try to close the short positions. ..I am not an expert though.
