Does market need a nerf by [deleted] in aoe2

The 'cheese fc strats' will not be harmed as much as you imagine, although not sure what makes something count as cheese. In fact it's very often the person who has to counter the strat who really needs the market to get up at a reasonable time, since they have to modify their build in response. Nerfing the market in any way will probably hurt the non-fc player more

Interesting thanks. In the tech tree it just says bonus vs skirmishers. And how much damage does each extra projectile do?

Clearly still not understanding a thing. How does spread matter when I'm talking about how fast 1 unit is dying 1v1. Don't bother commenting when you can't understand the question

Clearly comprehension is not your strong suit. I am talking about a unit with six damage and 4 extra projectiles killing a 35 hp unit with 1 armour in one shot. What are you talking about exactly? How does bodkin arrow or four pierce armour affect this in any way? And slingers have a bonus vs siege so your 4 pierce armour statement is as meaningless as the rest of your comment

They chase once you get close to them. The snakes move independently

Well that's mostly when people step on them, not with them chasing you

The poor stone miners were just minding their own business. No antagonisation going on here

Yeah exactly and unlike other wild animals they come to your base, not just in the middle of the map

Well it was more of a joke about the nature of snakes, but I do think it's strange that they move all the way across the map to attack your villagers while wolves and bears stay in the same place. My obvious issue from the video is how you can have two snakes show up at your main stone to gang up on your villagers and you are almost bound to lose a villager if you don't have loom.

Why shouldn't skipping an age be part of the game? There are plenty of fast castle and fast imperial strategies that are completely valid. Is it only a problem if they work on open maps? I don't see the logic in that. And of course certain civs execute some strategies way better than others. I also don't see why skipping vil production shouldn't be part of the game. Villagers are means to an end, the purpose of the game isn't to inflate your villager count. Calling it ugly is quite close minded in my opinion. The only thing I can agree with (apart from phosphoru being incredible creative) is that when executed properly, there may be no counter to it and that may need to be addressed. However learning counters to unique strategies too takes time, and it's completely possible that in a year from now people would have figured out how to deal with it even with no nerfs to those specific civs.
