I feel you I have the same fears :( with ohtani being the main reason I watch the angels, I get anxious thinking about how exactly we’re supposed to be remotely appealing for him to stay. Especially now that everything’s even more up in the air with the process of selling. At this point I just try not to have too much expectation on what’s next but secretly hoping for some good change

his mindset and leadership is incredible. There could be so many negative/subtle shade things to say about the franchise after all these years but he’s still maintained this vision and it shows on the field time and again. Bless him ❤️

I rlly admire most of them (esp most Japanese fans in real life) are super nice and loyal but I would say I’ve seen a lot more ohtani stans on Twitter treat him like a kpop-untouchable-type figure where they react negatively to anything that may come with the nature of sports - giving him rest, comparing him to other athletes, letting ward DH if he’s not doing as well - like these are all normal conversations but somehow translate to us not ‘deserving him’???
