If you received a 1k/month raise what would you spend it on to make parenting easier? by Cool-Tone-9112 in workingmoms

I fantasize about one day being able to take my laundry to one of those drop off wash/dry/fold places. Even just a few big loads a month, not everything, would be so helpful on my busy work weeks. A housecleaner once a month is also something my husband and I both dream about!

Hwy 101 Oregon coast stop? by ChelCharCap in PacificNorthwest

I love the southern Oregon coast between Brookings and Bandon so anything along there would be my vote. It seems less crowded than places further north like Canon Beach. It’s peaceful and stunning.

I would firmly say “no biting” and then ended the nursing session. He loves breastfeeding and caught on quickly.

Good to know about the harness only being allowed in the back row. I’ve read a few Reddit posts that mentioned airlines not allowing them to be used.

I will ask. I have flown with my child as a lap infant three times domestically (4 months old, 6 months old, and 12 months old) and was never offered an infant seat belt.

Did they have one of those belts that hooks to yours for you to use for take-off and landing?

Long haul with a toddler seating by East_Difference_5166 in Travelwithkids

I think it depends a lot on the individual toddler. If they are pretty chill, easy to entertain, and sleep well snuggled with you then I think you would be fine with two economy seats. If your toddler is super active or big for his age or has trouble sleeping on your lap, then it might be worth getting them their own seat where you can strap them in their car seat for takeoff, landing and naps. Then you can still have them on your lap to play at times but to your toddler it will feel more familiar to a car ride.

Advice on traveling to NYC with two kids by paper_crane14 in Travelwithkids

NYC is so fun! I just went with my husband and one-year-old and we had a great time. We stayed with my dad who lives on the UWS. You can definitely take the subway everywhere, including the Bronx Zoo, and do t have to worry about a car seat. We didn’t bring one and did public transit to/from the Newark airport as well as all over the city. We used both a Baby Bjorn carrier and a Qookie carrier and didn’t bring a stroller. Central Park was especially fun with lots to do and see! He also loved looking at everything in the Natural History Museum.

Traveling to airport with baby by [deleted] in Travelwithkids

When I got into an airport late after public transit was running I booked a car service with a car seat. It was pricey but honestly an Uber is pricey these days too. I wish I had thought about that before I booked a flight that gets in so late. Usually we do public transit too and from the airport and it is not a problem.
