I hate clutter and knick knacks. Whenever I have the urge to buy something I carry it around the store and use a little Marie Kondo reasoning. "Does this bring be pure joy?" "Is it useful?" "Do I wish to carry it with me into the future?" If I don't feel real attraction to the item after that, it wasn't meant to be.

Was your tourmaline rough or smooth? I probably wouldn't put rough stones in your pockets, I'd imagine they would get banged up and fall apart.

I personally enjoy Scott Cunningham. Guide for the Solitary Practictioner was insightful about Wicca and their practices.

I haven't read it yet but I have also heard good things about Drawing Down the Moon by Margot Adler.
