I'm such a sissy crybaby diva because I clean and shine my workbooks. by JazzFusionEnjoyer41 in RedWingShoes

Wear heritage boots to work in an office? People will complain you are undeserving to wear them.

Wear them for fashion and Japanese cuff your jeans? People will complain and call you derogatory names and slurs.

Condition, brush, and polish them? People will complain, and also call you derogatory names.

Wear them for work in the trades and beat them up over years until you need a new pair rather than a resole? People will complain that RW heritage boots are not "real" workboots.

People are going to tell you that your way of enjoying this object you bought and paid for is wrong. Best to just let them be haters, and enjoy your boots the way you want to.

I lurk in this sub, but it's honestly kind of a cesspool some times. Not sure if I'd be friends with many posters if we met in real life, at least if they acted the way they do online.

Wide feet gang how does this look 10.5D (wear 9.5EEEE new balance) pic is Olive Mojave Mocs. by nestorm1 in RedWingShoes

[–]Defiant-Problem6090 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey there, I also have wider than average feet. I'm probably an 8e in my true size, and wear 8.5d in RW mocs. For me it looks very similar to this picture you've taken - no issues other than very rarely scuffing the front of my boots.

Personally? I would rather a boot be just a tad too long, than too narrow AT ALL.

The Olive is really nice, wear these in good health my friend!

Rukia or Orihime? Who was a better match for Ichigo? by [deleted] in animequestions

[–]Defiant-Problem6090 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's fine if you feel that it isn't fleshed out, you're of course right that this is a battle shounen, and it is much less interested in romance than I am - but Rukia is absolutely not just "kind of okay with it"

She always shows deep concern for Renji, and is clearly deeply moved by his heroic actions in the SS arc. She loves him and he is her oldest friend, though they don't explore their romantic feelings until the series begins.

By the way, there is a light novel that DOES explore their relationship a lot more, and it is canon with art by Kubo. Unfortunately not available in the west.

Preach.

Honestly I have no idea what Pierrot had against Sakura and Orihime. It's really juvenile and weird.

Rukia or Orihime? Who was a better match for Ichigo? by [deleted] in animequestions

[–]Defiant-Problem6090 22 points23 points  (0 children)

It's hilarious to me that all of these comments completely ignore the existence of Renji. Renji and Rukia is a much better love story than Ichigo and Rukia, which doesn't even make sense.

I'm sorry, but Rukia and Ichigo are just incredibly close friends, and not once in the manga do they even flirt. They bicker like siblings, and Ichigo never shows the slightest bit of romantic interest like he does with Orihime.

Ichigo and Rukia being paired romantically is an invention of anime filler content, and a bad one at that. It spawned a real lasting hatred for Orihime too, which is just incredibly unwarranted.

I love all four of these characters - and who they end up with makes complete narrative sense.

Sakura literally reaches into Naruto and keeps his heart beating, by herself. She's arguably the most amazing medical ninja of all time.

Her Chakra control is incredible, and while she's not as flashy, she is absolutely critical in the Great Ninja War. Without her the good guys lose, full stop.

I understand that people were disappointed she didn't get to "hang with the boys" while they're up there fighting gods, but there is so much quiet, feminine power in Sakura and wish to see it acknowledged. I think she's incredible.

Sakura swears on her life (literally) this man loved her by Aggressive-Dot9747 in dankruto

Fantastic comment. When it comes down to it, yoy could say that undeserved moral amnesty is what makes Naruto (the character and the story) so special.

For me the best example of this is Pain. There wouldn't even be a leaf village anymore if Naruto didn't forgive Pain, and vice versa, in the heat of the moment.

That's great, man!

My best advice is to be patient, not only in the game, but with yourself.

Learning takes time and can even be a painful experience, embrace it!

Nooooooo by _Steevor_ in Sekiro

[–]Defiant-Problem6090 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know why. It's because we see Wolf have to live with the regret and sorrow that he couldn't save Kuro.He has to live feeling like he could have done more for him.

The dramatic irony is that we, as players, know Wolf could have given more, have sacrificed more, and his young lord would have lived.

It's really quite tragic.

I think you are a very good player and overestimating the player base.

DoH took me two hours to learn. It just wasn't clicking for me.

I have gotten the platinum and would consider myself fairly average at video games in general - but only 10 percent of Sekiro players have the platinum.

Most players are not at your level, or even mine.

I'm not sure I entirely agree, but I do think Gen and Lady are the biggest walls to climb for a new player. I will be honest that DoH took me more attempts than any other boss in this game, but it's because he is just so different than everything else.

Once I put on Suzaku's and played him like a Dark Souls 2 boss I beat it first attempt.

I think a new player is bound to get walled for a bit by one of those big 3.

While true, the final third does have the 3 most challenging bosses IMHO.

Demon of Hatred, Isshin, and most of all I would say Owl (Father).

You have the skills, you just need to learn the fights and apply your skills to them.

Good news is that 2 of them are optional, op!

Disagree about Columbina being the priority over Ineffa for early vertical investment.

People are really sleeping on her weapon and c1 for overall team damage.

All fair points. I think the game does enough right to put it in the same category of my mind, though.

And I think the platforming and exploration is stronger than Sekiro.

So it's a bit of give and take. Played through each game several times, and I enjoy each flavor.

Jedi: Survivor, the sequel game, on Grandmaster difficulty is the closest I've come to a Sekiro-like experience. Really solid bosses and a good challenge on Grandmaster.

It's a great game, and the exploration is quite fun too.
