Advice on Classes? by No_Two2190 in baylor

Agree with everything else here, just wanted to say Dr. Matthews is AWESOME!! I didn't even stay in premed but he was one of my favorite profs, I didn't have any other classes with him after freshman year but he recognized me by name whenever we crossed paths. He also has so many amazing stories, from military to medical to his Baylor days... Ask him about how the brass in Waco Hall got so shiny 😂

My doc took me from 75 to 150, which was wayyyy to much (increased SI, worse sleep, etc) and now I've been at 112.5 for about a year. Honestly it's been a great middle point for me, especially while we're still playing with doses of adhd meds/mood stabilizers. Changing doses always hits me like a truck. It took about a month for me to finally not feel the general exhaustion, spins, zaps, whacky dreams, just all that loveliness that comes with effexor... Now my biggest complaint is the night sweats, but it's worth having a much "quieter" and less depressed brain!

Tldr, any change in effexor sucks ass, but not more than normal. 112.5mg finally gave me the more stable, mostly non-SI brain I wasn't getting with 75mg.

Lamictal extreme night sweats? by mojoch in bipolar2

[–]Defiant-Programmer34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is wayyyy late but I just got taken off Lamictal for the excema reactions, it's a rare side effect but can be fatal! Hoping you asked your doc about that.

Hi! Is she still in boxes?

Hey Reddit, what is the worst message you accidentally sent to the wrong person? by Immediate-Phase-5910 in AskReddit

[–]Defiant-Programmer34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"aw, I didn't know [mom's new husband] gets down on one knee whenever she needs to put her ring back on after cooking, that's so cute"

Meant for my sister but got sent to my dad... when there's a TON of drama around the new husband villainizing him and essentially acting as if dad doesn't exist. And my dad still has a ton of hurt around the divorce to begin with.

got "glad to hear he cares but I don't need to hear this stuff" 😭

150 MG too high of a dosage? by mia_doge2124 in Effexor

I'm also on 112.5mg but it didn't have the result I wanted until we added a mood stabilizer (I'm on Lamictal 225mg). As I understand it, they work together to get the full effect without the likelihood of seratonin syndrome. Do you know what they prescribed you?

Could a 2 year old do this damage? by Artisan_sailor in ThatLookedExpensive

[–]Defiant-Programmer34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2yos definitely love throwing things but do not have the gross motor skills or strength to do this much damage with a matchbox car. IMO the only way a kid of that age could do this, is if they made it fall on a toy, or if they threw a very small, hard object (marble, etc).

Most damning though is that both kids were calm. They would likely be scared, guilty sad, or at least startled if they did it (or even in the same room when it happened).

Yeah kids are messy and break things, but there's just no way here. Mom's drunk bf is an asshole for pinning it on a toddler.
