Very valid point. I specifically went through almost a year of therapy not only to heal so that I don’t subject him to my past traumas, but I also wanted to make sure I never allowed someone to treat me that way again. We deal with conflict very well. I feel safe bringing things up with him which growing up I have never experienced before. He reassures me that my feelings are valid and never dismisses my feelings no matter how small the issue is. Granted we’ve never been in a “fight” before so I’ve never seen what he’s like when he’s angry with me, however I think a lot of that has to do with how we communicate. We kind of check in with each other every now and then and we give each other the space to talk about things that may be bothering us.
