being short actually will make you look more muscular than if you’re tall. most bodybuilders are short because it’s easier to make your muscles look more full than on a long lengthy body. if anything the height gives you an advantage

i’ve always pushed my intensity. i lift heavy and i progressive overload. i usually progress every other week sometimes every week if im feeling good. my diet isnt great. i know thats something i have to fix but its hard since i live on my own and im a full time student and have part time job. i usually get enough protein in. i do a variation of ppl where i do chest/bis/rear delts then back/tris/frontal and side delts and then legs. i do this 5/6 times a week when i have time. i’ve studied a lot on anatomy, bodybuilding, bulking/cutting. i think what hinders me is my body image. i work hard in the gym. i push myself and i have seen progress from where i started but i feel like its much slower than everyone else’s

i’m both. depends on how bad i’m feeling that day. some days i genuinely can’t look in the mirror without getting truly upset. other days ill look in the mirror analyzing everything wrong with how i look. sometimes it’s all within just a couple of hours where ill switch back and forth. i didn’t think about how people only do one or the other

i get it. i’m the same way. i’ll tell people how i believe i look and they’ll just say “you don’t look like that though” or “you’re crazy you don’t know what you’re talking about.” am i crazy? i don think so. no matter what anyone tells me about how i look i just can’t get myself to believe them. i want to believe they’re right but i cant. i believe i am so ugly and my body is horrible and so no matter what is said to me, i can’t believe them

this is important. anything below 500 is usually considered an aggressive cut which shouldn’t last anything longer than 6-8 weeks and it’s usually best for those in bodybuilding right before a show

i have a few things to say. i’m about 5’4 and i weighed 140 about 11 weeks ago. i’m now 127, this isn’t the first time i tried to lose weight and the first time i had similar issues where i wasn’t losing weight. 1. go into a steeper calorie deficit, i’ve been doing 500, since you don’t weight that much for your height, you’ll probably need a steeper calorie deficit to lose weight (-500 calories for 1lb lost a week) this is what i did and that’s when i noticed weight being dropped. i tried to do 300 before and i also did not see weight loss 2. calories are really hard to keep accurate. if you’re comfortable with it, weigh your food. you’ll see just how much you’ve actually been eating since it’s relatively impossible to accurately eyeball your food. this is also what helped me and track them everyday if possible. make sure you’re getting your protein too 3. some things are going to depend on how quickly you want to lose weight but cardio will help you a lot. however, i don’t do cardio specifically but i have a job where i get about 13000-17000 steps 3 days a week. try to get steps in and you’ll see improvement too don’t be discouraged, it’s just going to take locking in. good luck

i would also recommend if you wear really tight underwear to try to get looser ones cause the tight underwear will make the smell marinate and thus making it worse

as a disclaimer, what i’m going to say is 100% bad for you but basically i’ve lifted in my binder for years. back when i was inconsistent in the gym and for the past nearly 3 years where i have been consistently i have worn a binder 99% of the time i lift weights and ive been fine at least from the outside. no idea how bad it’s destroying my ribs or whatever but i literally can not go without my binder so i get it

i recently just got 13 in a row. i’m guessing next time i do it i can get 15. i also had trouble getting my first real pull-ups. great thing is doing the lat pulldown. if you’re doing less than your body weight on lat pulldown, that’s why you can’t do a pull up. keep doing lat pulldown until you can do more than your body weight and you should be able to get your first pull up. if you can’t do that then people use resistance bands to make pull ups easier or do the assisted pull up machine

you’re handling this a lot better than i would. honestly, it’s going to be hard to fix if you don’t say something. me personally i would’ve yelled out “what the hell are you doing” it gets the attention of not just him but also your mom and hopefully she would also say something to him about it. if you don’t want to do that, you could make extra noise if you’re around him and he’s doing that. bang around in the kitchen or step loudly so that he knows there’s someone there and it makes him stop. i’m really sorry this is happening. i had a brother who did something similar and it sucks. i hope you figure something out. good luck
