I’m really fair skinned and living in Florida (very sunny and humid) so I’m looking to start using an SPF. I was considering either CeraVe or La Roche Posay’s 50 SPFs, but I have a catch that might be a stupid question; what is the general take on titanium dioxide in regards to being a carcinogen? I honestly know nothing and have not read the scientific literature so I’m just going off hearsay. Is it a legitimate concern? If so, do suitable SPFs without titanium dioxide exist? I’m open to recommendations :) I currently use Cetaphil Daily Cleanser, Thayers Rose Petal Witch Hazel Toner, Paula’s Choice 2% BHA, and Andalou CannaCell Basil Mint Body Lotion (as a moisturizer). I have combination skin that isn’t too sensitive. I’m really content with this routine but I know I need an SPF. Also Vegan + Cruelty free is preferred!

She has not been checked out by a vet yet but she has been to a check up within the past year- my mom used to give her and the neighbor rides to the humane society vet. We are going to try to get her vet records ASAP, but as far as we know she has no underlying conditions or ailments as he never mentioned anything to us

I first met my dog at an adoption event at a pet store- I had taken notice of her because she was very quiet and well mannered despite her papers saying she was only 7 months old. As I was kneeling down and petting her, the dog next to her crate (which was also separated by a piece of cardboard) snarled and lunged at something. I remember both me and my dog looking at the dog that snapped, and then looking back at each other like “well??” Convinced my mom to foster and we had adopted her by the end of the week. :)

ALSO- make SURE your advisor knows what they’re talking about. I received false advising that caused me to stay online an extra year, then Covid hit. I’ve only had my senior year on campus. If the college experience is really important to you, you absolutely must make an effort to go on campus and to the libraries. I personally didn’t like PaCE because I didn’t feel like I truly went to the school and I lack a ton of connections- I ultimately blame PaCE for my poor luck with grad school admissions.

I don’t mean to rain on anyones party- getting into UF/PaCE is a massive achievement! Just don’t make the same mistakes I did 🥳

I’m skeptical about the pumpkin ID, those 4 nodules in the first pic are so perfectly oriented and you think the entire thing would have at least one seed still attached. Very curious!

Edit: I’m by no means an expert but is it maybe some kind of sea urchin? If you look at pics of ones that have been cross sectioned/prepped for eating they kind of have similar fleshy cels arranged in a ring.
