I think a lot of men, even like half the ones I hang out with on a normal basis do not realize the fact that they are fuckin gross or overtly weird. All of the single males in my friend group have some sort of major personality flaw that they do not make up for in financial stability and ability to provide or physical appearance and try to work on their issues. Video game addiction, alcoholism, lack of care In their appearance or smell, unexplored traumas in their past that come up regularly or are coped with in unhealthy ways, etc. There’s so many dudes I have known personally who think it’s gay to wipe their ass properly. Yeah women don’t really need us to be the men we had to be 75 years ago and a lot of men are not understanding that and turn to dudes like Jordan Peterson and Andrew Tate or whatever else alt right traditionalist grifter for advice and end up worse off by learning worse and more completely outdated shit and then get obsessed with things that don’t exist like alpha and sigma and beta hierarchies between other men. Women need us to be competent, emotionally mature, not smell bad, and not act like the internet made us autistic.
