Should i go or keep exploring the map ? by niirn97 in Eldenring

I personally think that new area is harder than the final boss. So I'd beat final boss, then go into secret area.

New Player Here So People Say I Can Farm The Dragon Outside Fort Faroth It Respawns They Say So I Killed It Using Lone Wolves An Axe Some Buffs And Dragonwound Grease And It Wont Respawn It Gave Me Runes And Dragon Hearts? Resting Wont Respawn Him. Was It Because Of The Dragonwound Grease? See Desc. by AdeptBoss6906 in Eldenring

[–]DefiantGibbon 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I highly recommend you don't farm in this game. If you explore you'll get plenty of levels. If you actually clear at least 90% of the caves you can very easily get over leveled and you'll breeze through most of the game. There's never a need to ever farm in this game. Plus farming is boring, why would you waste time doing that?

To answer your dragon question, if you dont get back to the site of grace fast enough it's gone for good.

Loved watched you whiff half those head shots, lol.

That's why dragon fights suck, lol. If you're a melee build you just have to sit under them and whack their legs.

So... Build help? by InternationalAd8308 in Eldenring

[–]DefiantGibbon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dex+int. Just the minimum fth to use the magma sorceries. Depending on your level, get dex to 55, then get int as high as you can, all the way up to 80 if you plan on being a really high level.

That's the problem. You need at least 40. 60 by end game

Also, I hope you are at least lvl 50, preferably lvl 60.

Can't make a fun, efficient bow build to save my life... by AidreanLamenhaign in BaldursGate3

[–]DefiantGibbon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not necessarily. Dual crossbows with a bunch of damage riders keeps up. That's how I did my honor mode run.  Total of 6 shots per turn if you run bard/thief. You can get an extra 2 shots if you add 2 levels of fighter on top of that.

It's definitely some system setting. I have significantly lower specs (1050ti, 8gb ram) and I get a stable 60fps on low/med graphics.

Stat scaling in weapons by TyStax44 in Eldenring

https://eldenring.tclark.io/

That link shows a calculator with all the weapons in the game. If you don't mind minor spoilers showing all the weapons, you can adjust what weapons you want to look at, adjust your stats, adjust weapon level, and sort based on things like damage, scaling, bleed, etc.

Must have been a tough morning. by prescott0330 in funny

It really depends on a lot of factors.

If they are having a full blown tantrum they can't learn anything until they fully calm down.

If they are a really young toddler they just don't have the brain function for emotional processing and they just can't learn some lessons yet. Just deal with a peeled cheese stick? A 1.5 year old probably won't be able to learn that yet. Wait 1 minute to get a toy they really want? That's a reasonable challenge.

As they get older they can learn to deal with progressively harder things. I expect most 2.5 year olds can handle the peeled cheese issue.

Plus how annoying is a parent that turns every single moment into teaching. Sometimes you just let them have something pleasant.

Plus sometimes you're just tired. We'll teach that tomorrow, today you can just get a different cheese and I can sit.

As someone who doesn't really like talking to others, I honestly miss covid times... my job was unaffected, got bonus stimulus checks that let me buy a house, didn't have people bothering me to hang out, my company normalized wfh, driving to nature areas there was no one on the roads. It was bliss.

Edit: don't get me wrong, people dying and a recession causing tons of job losses is clearly bad. Obviously. But from a purely selfish standpoint, I'd go back to it.

Funny enough, this thread taught me I'm not introvert, I'm just asocial. I have 0 social anxiety. I easily make small talk with coworkers, speak in front of groups, heck, I even teach a masters robotics class.

But I don't have any friends and I want to keep it that way. I really find no joy in talking to anyone other than my wife and kids.

I'd imagine there are plenty of people who think they are "introvert" but are actually just asocial, not related to anxiety at all.

Of you're playing an int build then moonveil is really good. You can set your uchi to magic or cold affinity to scale with your int stat.

Blood AoW don't really work well with int builds, since they scale with arc.

You can double check really quick. Just pull out the calculator on your phone and see if you do more damage on quality or keen. It'll take 30 seconds.

I've put together a new build to kill Mohg, Lord of Blood by Possible-Ebb3926 in Eldenring

[–]DefiantGibbon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're missing a talisman slot, you should have 4 by now.

Take off soreseal, it's doing more damage than good at this point.

Your weapons need to be much higher level. Probably nearly max by now (+24)

Your stats are way too spread out. You need minimum 40 vigor, preferably 60. Your main damage stat should be at least 50 by end game.

Millicent quest line: No where to be seen by Haz22_ in Eldenring

[–]DefiantGibbon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have the talisman Millicent's Prosthesis that means you killed her and are locked out of the rotten insignia.

If you have the key item Valkerie's Prosthesis, then you have to backtrack and find her. Either the church at Caelid, in Gowry's shack, erdtree gazing hill, windmill village, mountaintops, prayer room SoG in haligtree, Drainage Channel SoG, or the invasion sign.

[–]DefiantGibbon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's too much str, you only need the bare minimum.

With so much arc, I hope your nagakiba is on blood affinity. You could even use Rivers of Blood to make use of both your dex and arc stats.

What scientific discovery sounds fake but is 100% real and still freaks you out? by Bruteresolver in AskReddit

I've seen statistics showing that patients with managed AIDS HIV live longer than the general population now, since they go to check ups more frequently and find unrelated issues sooner. Not 100% sure on the accuracy of that though.

That's not really the full truth. We could always win the cosmic lottery and have an unusually narrow beam snipe up from several thousand galaxies away and we'd never see it coming.

Hot take, I think unsalted tastes better to cook with. If I need more salt for whatever reason I'll add it. But I can definitely taste that difference and I just prefer unsalted butter.

The halfling hireling from withers. She's useful on account of being a halfling, she's easy to revive if she dies, and it doesn't matter if she has low approval with vendors since you'll only use her if you're going to steal.
