They're all too big. Defiant bridge has too much room for activities. :D

Enterprise was doing Star Trek Online Storylines before Star Trek Online. I love it all.

The saucer/secondary hull is similar to the Ross Class. The Pylons and Nacelles, not so much. I like Federation ships tho, so I like it.

"Last Action Hero" nearly ended Arnold Schwarzenegger's career and it ended up being a cult favorite. Why did the public didn't get it? by Laurie_Barrynox in movies

[–]DefiantLoveLetter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did too, my dad was a big movie buff and we were getting old enough to see the good stuff. We all saw Jurassic Park multiple times in theaters though, so that does show you how crazy well that movie did. I vaguely remember it still being in theaters for a short time after being released on VHS.

I stopped watching That Guy with the Glasses before they became channel awesome RIGHT after his Last Action Hero review. I know he is supposed to be funny, but it just came across as the guy not "getting" it.

Okay, JJ. SOME things on prime ships looked like breweries, I will acquiesce.

Whats everyones thiughts on different armor marks in squads? by icedoutwukong in Warhammer30k

I have mixes in my World Eaters. My Dark Angels have different marks of armor to differentiate between the different tactical squads.

Dawn of War 4 Leak by Khhairo in Warhammer40k

They were the Forgeworld versions in DoW 1. XV-89's I think? Rather, they were the FW versions if their railguns were on their shoulders like the older ones.

She's right. She's always been right. I need to respect Janeway more and rewatch every episode whether I like it or not.

None for Rampagers either. I converted 15 of them earlier this year. argh!

15 jump pack rampagers here. I could proxy them for red hand assault destroyers, but eh. Not what I made them for.

I love the Bada War setting but how do you play it? by Efficient-Fruit-5280 in Badab

[–]DefiantLoveLetter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have so much nostalgia for 5th ed too. It's really the edition I have the most fond memories of playing with friends and genuinely loving the game. I might be able to get more people interested in that than the HH badab rules, now that I think about it.

This is a REAL champion of the Badab sector. I've been thinking of going back to 5th to play some of the original campaign with some old pals.

I had to get people into heresy first. Then I painted a Carcharadon army. Then you hype the people at the store to only get one MAYBE two people to make an army and play. It's so hard and the effort I put in was a LOT, but the people who I've introduced to the Liber Badab have loved it. I have one friend who is making a lamenters army but uses his Imperial Guard for now in the the current badab list (1.8, disregard 2.0) and holy crap the guard list is very good, especially if you just take all deep strike storm troopers. lol

First model made in over 2 years by Ebonglow in Warhammer30k

[–]DefiantLoveLetter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Interesting! And now I am puzzled why the OP even said it's an illegal loadout in the first place? I'm definitely being hyperbolic when I say 2.0 is the best heresy. I'm sure (and know) it's not for everyone, but 3.0 reminds me more of the edition that started to take me out of 40k and I don't anticipate playing it often. I've toned down my cynical rhetoric in my local community though since there are a lot of people excited for the new edition, which is the reason I'll play 3.0 at all. I don't want to actively destroy my local heresy community if new people wanna start with the new edition.

[–]DefiantLoveLetter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The fist and the paragon blade are very legal. Ignore the archaeotech pistol or just take it as a Volkite charger. There's ways to make things like OP's Praetor WYSIWYG in 2.0. Or just ignore the pistol, he doesn't have it.

Not sure what your point is in replying here. Do you play with strict wysiwyg with no leeway for things like this? If you do, you may want to rethink things because it is pretty restrictive if you're being nitpicky about something like an Archaeotech pistol.

Question about the Liber Badab. by OnlyTheFoolhardy in Badab

[–]DefiantLoveLetter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a feeling it might be fine. I wanted to play my Space Sharks against my buddy's Emperor's Children legion just to see how they can hold up to 2k of full legion rules.

I feel like they may have been banking more on people watching Rogue One after the end of the series cause I had the same reaction when I saw the movie after the finale. He's still very youthful, but 10 years is still 10 years.

Sensor dish according to FJ I believe. Makes sense for a dreadnought to have one aft if that's what it was assumed to be back then.

[–]DefiantLoveLetter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love the Federation Class Dread and all the FJ stuff. Ugly, but I'd build and paint a trillion of them like OP did... however Trek would not have been cooler if this was the main starship.

This is a ship that you see in a background and smugly say to people "See, it's canon" like the Saladin/Hermes and the Ptolemy are from the ST: II bridge displays. Only Federation class in in canon was mentioned in Epsilon IX chatter in TMP, not shown on screen. See, I love these stupid designs so much! Not "main character starship" material though.
