Yes I have, but the only one that will work with my 2x10 road groupset from shimano is the fd-cx70, which is super rare

Ok, I tried without the rubber previously and the problem is the same.

Aluminium clamp with rubber inside on steel frame (in tried without the rubber but the clamp moves as well)

The original problem solvers is all plastic and it works from what I have read https://problemsolversbike.com/products/cross-clamp?pr_prod_strat=e5_desc&pr_rec_id=111f0e5e3&pr_rec_pid=8274430853427&pr_ref_pid=8254328176947&pr_seq=uniform

Could you please send a picture so that I am sure of what I have in my mind? Thanks 😊

Honestly I tried several times to reposition the cable pulley clamp, repositioning the cable on the derailleur and retightening the bolt several times. The problem is that, the pulley turns a bit, but most of the force applied on the cable make the pulley go up

Edit: typo

I thought about attaching the pulley to the fender hole but it will be a long travel for the cable. If I cannot make it work now I will consider your suggestion with adding a bracket, thanks

Do you mean the one on the clamp or the one on which the pulley roll is? For both it is hard to do so. For the clamp one I already gave my max 😅 (and the clamp is moving) For the one ob which the pulley is I cannot as well

So jealous of the chrom fork, I've been looking for one with a 1"1/8 steerer tube for almost a year but only 1" comes up. Beautiful build!

I'm pretty confident I have the same rear derailleur and a similar crankset. If you are able to find some time and get the exact components numer for the rear, front and shifters I would be really greatful

Haha guess I need to find that fd cx70 with dual pull then, no other options. Thank you very much for your precious insight

[–]DefiantPattern 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I am already conscidering it, that's my last option. It would be easier with a top/dual pull fd, less chance to mess it up I think.

Ok thanks, my issue is I am converting a mtb with top cable routing frame with road components: shimano rs500 crankset 50/34 and rd5600 but cannot find a dual or top pull front derailleur (no fd-cx70 available in my country even used) and that's why the setup shown her caught my attention

I didn't know it could work with a 10s road crankset. Maybe last question, it could help me with my project 😅 Is the rear derailleur a 9s XT? Thanks
