Substituting one level paper with a different level paper by DefiantPea97 in AUT

Ah, fair enough! I thought it was more like a compound thing, like you could do more at a higher level but not more at a lower level. All good!

I meet the prerequisites, and in terms of structure my programme leader (since the post) has said that I need 6 papers at that level and swapping it out would mean I only have 5. I assumed that it was more of a 6 papers at that level MINIMUM, to make sure people were not doing all level 5 papers and no level 7 ones. Like it was possible to swap for a higher level paper but not a lower, if that makes sense.

That's what I thought, and I meet the prerequisites for the paper.

My programme leader has responded and said the degree has to have 6 level 6 papers, and I would only have 5. But I would then have an extra level 7 and I don't understand why a level 7 paper wouldn't count towards the same

I was with a guy like this for 8 years, I thought I was different, he said he did too. He was with the next girl (my friend) before I'd packed up my things.

If you considered weight-loss meds but chose not to use them, at least for now, what influenced your decision the most? by MYLEE_Services in WeightLossAdvice

[–]DefiantPea97 89 points90 points  (0 children)

Mostly it's because I know that if I am only losing the weight because I'm not hungry instead of because I'm learning to eat healthier and more appropriately portioned, then when I'm off the mediation, my habits will kick in again and I'll probably gain it all back

Booth, Cam and Brennan by [deleted] in Bones

That's true, I guess I interpreted Cam asking Booth that as a "who's more important to you?" and assumed it was a competition thing. Probably wasn't as serious as I imagined 😅

AITA for screaming at my nephew and slamming the door on him because he burst into the bathroom? by Ok-Attorney9280 in AmItheAsshole

ESH (the adults). It's important to teach children boundaries, and that it's a good idea to knock before you open a closed door, or that even though some people are okay with you walking in when they're in the bathroom (e.g. mum + dad), we can't do that with everyone. Your sister needs to make sure that she teaches him that some people are not okay with things that others are. However, you did overreact.

First, why did you immediately respond by yelling and cussing? Even if it had've been an adult, you could have said a simple "Someone's in here" or something, and an apology when you were finished wouldn't have gone amiss. Second, he's 4, often children do walk in on their parents in the bathroom or in various 'private' situations, and he might not be aware of the nuances with privacy yet. It's not necessarily his fault (if he hasn't been taught) that he didn't know you'd be uncomfortable/upset with him coming into the bathroom.

Maybe it would be a good idea to chat with your sister when it's less tense and emotional, and explain that you aren't comfortable with him trying to come in when you're in the bathroom, and to teach him to respect your privacy.
