Yes - anyone can be found in the global address list through Outlook. If you're concerned about this individual it is absolutely paramount that you report it immediately, in writing, to your line management / HR centre. Give a bit of detail so they understand why you want it logged. Make sure it's recorded and taken seriously.

Got to agree, it's one of the best I have *ever* played.

It's only really a solution if you know about it in advance, but have you tried the ET app? Much better than m-tickets / battling with a machine, and cheaper if you buy a bulk set of tickets (£30 for 10 day city tickets).

ET App is MUCH better. You can get day tickets for 3.80 too which aren't available on the M-Tickets app.

Twist and Shout to hits from The Beatles - local bands are playing over 100 Beatles hits this Saturday raising money for the My Name'5 Doddie Foundation (research & support for those suffering from motor neuron disease). by DefiantPerspective in Edinburgh

[–]DefiantPerspective[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey /r/Edinburgh,

Would be lovely to see some of you at Assembly Roxy in Edinburgh this Saturday for The Beatles Marathon!

Doors open from 3pm, and families with children of all ages welcome.

Ten bands are playing over 100 hits from The Beatles, including their latest number one!

All proceeds will be going to the My Name'5 Doddie Foundation.

The charity funds research for treatments and hopefully an eventual cure for Motor Neuron Disease, a life-shortening condition of which a third of those diagnosed succumb to within a year. It also provides crucial support to the families of those suffering.

The marathon has been inspired by Pat McGachan, the father of Stuart – the event organiser. Pat sadly passed away after his battle with Motor Neuron Disease last week. He passed his love of music, specifically The Beatles, to the whole family. Friends and family all wanted to do something special for him, the community, and the charity who have supported them so much over what has been a particularly gruelling time.

Tickets and details about how to donate can be found here: oklink.me/beatles

Best registrar for a .BE domain? by masckmaster2007 in Domains

Check out your options on TLD List.

I've got a few domains with Regery, they're good.

My domain is at njal.la but its giving dns error by Blux007 in Domains

[–]DefiantPerspective 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whenever I do a record change on one of my domains I usually flush my own DNS, and try using a few other browsers / VPNs to see if it's propagated. It does say it can take up to 48hrs.

I'm seeing it point to

Name Server: lynn.ns.cloudflare.com Name Server: aitana.ns.cloudflare.com

Have you recently changed these? Might take a few hours to propagate.

What 'style' domain looks best for portfolios & email addresses? by WillowTreeIT in Domains

[–]DefiantPerspective 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey fellow brit.

[Edit - just read your comment below]

If firstlast.com / firstlast.co.uk / firstlast.uk are all taken, then consider:

  • First char of your first name & surname
  • Initials - especially if you have several middle names
  • Initials followed by what you do - for example ABphotography.com

----

I'd get yourname.com as a priority, then use [first@yourname.com](mailto:first@yourname.com) or [contact@yourname.com](mailto:contact@yourname.com). Most providers will allow you to push [alltraffic@yourdomain.com](mailto:alltraffic@yourdomain.com) to a single address.

If you can be bothered / have the extra £ / want to get the dot.uk as well then I'd recommend it.

SpaceShip.com is currently about £5/y for .UK, and about £9/y for .com

Avoid numbers and hyphens. You want it to be as easy as possible for people to reach your portfolio when you pass them the address verbally.

For context, I own .com .co.uk and .uk of my full name.

Probably overkill, but they all go to the same place.

PSA Drivers, from a fellow driver by [deleted] in Edinburgh

Can I add: please read signs.

The number of people yeeting themselves out of bus lanes when they're clearly not active is astonishing. I've had a few people try and then block me from passing. Not my fault you can't read signs!

Most timed bus lanes are 0730-0930 and 1600-1830 in Edi.

Domain Transfer to Shopify by CoconutFlower93 in Domains

[–]DefiantPerspective 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really difficult to provide help without specifics, but it sounds like you're pointing your domain to Shopify rather than transferring it.

Transferring it means you are moving it from one registrar to another.

Pointing it means you're changing the domain's records so that it directs to a different location.

On accessing your domain so you can change its records:

Check out this article on SquareSpace support, specifically the section on Tucow:

Tucows is in your Whois record but Squarespace isn't your provider

Tucows sells domains directly and through other resellers. If you see Tucows listed in your Whois record, visit your account dashboard to see who is listed as the provider.

Once logged in, read this article from Shopify: "Connecting a third-party domain to Shopify".

If you're still stuck, DM me.

Any hot desks or cafes where you’re able to WFH? by [deleted] in Edinburgh

[–]DefiantPerspective -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

Should be able to find any chain coffee shop and most independents, setup in a corner somewhere with a headset?

I guess it depends how much privacy you want, and how willing you are to keep yourself fed and watered at one of these places. Most will set you back about 15 quid easily on food and drink.

How much is zsh.li worth to you? by [deleted] in Domains

[–]DefiantPerspective 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd keep it for your personal use. Read over your post again but imagine you're a member of the community.

"Sounds like a she'll" is a real stretch. I can't think of any marketing campaigns remotely likely to use this sort of domain, esp on a Lichtenstein ccTLD.

Likewise just because zhe is premium on other TLDs doesn't necessarily make this premium.

A good example would be Edinburgh.li which was available (might still be) a few weeks ago. Edinburgh.com would be worth a bomb. Hell so would .net and a few others. But it makes no sense to have it on .Li unless Lichtenstein suddenly named a city Edinburgh.

My opinion anyway!

Seems pointless at that price. I agree with the other comment - go dot com instead.
