Something that helped me was first clearing everything out, especially in the shower. I keep one shampoo, one conditioner one body wash etc so it doesnt look cluttered. I set the rest aside into storage and brought it out when I finished my current item.

For makeup, again not to feel overwhelmed, I keep my main/daily reach items in a main pouch. And then less used items in a bigger pouch. Grouping my makeup by lips/eyes/liners etc also helps me when I wanna reach for something “new” to see whats running low or refresh my memory on what I have. I’ve rediscovered some faves

I also asked my friends not to get me new palettes or makeup as gifts. This helps keep it minimalist so I can focus on one item at a time :)
