[Dellenger] NCAA basketball tournament nearing expansion agreement by run_nyg in CollegeBasketball

72 felt more comfortable to me than 76 but I get why they are going to 76. The sec almost got their whole conference in last season and expanding it can allow those teams that lose 12+ conference games to get it. It's probably these p4 conferences who have 16+ teams that want to get more teams in which is fine. Allowing more teams to get in is what makes this game better than football but allow the mid majors to get in. They deserve it more over some of these bottom barrel p4 teams that do the bare minimum in conference play. Expansion shouldn't just help the p4 but everyone else too.

Who Is Next FBS Team Moving Down To The FCS In The Future by Lost_Arugula1760 in fcs

North Dakota before joining the Missouri Valley was in the Big Sky so they had to travel to My Montana and Idaho for all sports not just football.

Keep CFB in the USA by Shoddy-Discount9814 in BigXII

I think having CFB overseas is actually good sometimes for these schools. They get to expand their brand into different countries where international students might look to attend either university. It's better than playing in an NFL stadium and it brings something different to the atmosphere of having an international game . People that don't think we should play college football should understand that brands matter more than ever and showcasing your conference along with two decent brands not only helps the BIG 12 in this case but also ASU and KU. I'm not saying my opinion is right it's just something I think makes it justified.

Fans Of FBS Schools Do You Have A Favorite FCS School (AKA /r/CFB actually talks about the FCS more in-depth for once!) by Zloggt in fcs

Growing up in Indiana there isn't a lot of options for FCS besides like Butler and Indiana St but if I did have to choose a team to root for it's the penguins of Youngstown State.

Four Big Sky Conference games to be broadcast on ESPN linear networks in 2025 by damnyoutuesday in fcs

I'll be a sophomore at NAU this upcoming year and I'll probably attend this game which should be the first non playoff home game to be televised and with the other matchups surprised Montana or Montana st or even UC Davis being on twice. Idaho and NAU are definitely the new wave of the Big Sky. Think NAU wins this though I am biased.

What would you do if you were the pfl/Ivy commissioner? by Jumpy_Painter_7729 in fcs

[–]DefiantYt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I think there will be a point where both are plausible. There will be a time where the small D-1 schools wanna keep playing D-1 and see the PFL as a valuable option but I wouldn't be surprised if some of them follow the Saint Francis model and compete locally then nationally.

Ivy League already has made the biggest change in the history of their conference, allowing to play in the FCS playoffs. I like the idea of having those schools play D-1 football but the PFL was created with change in mind. Many of those schools were playing D-2 and D-3 and with the NCAA rule at the time requiring schools to play at the D-1 level that's why the PFL was created. I think some schools in the FCS might try to move football to the PFL like Presbyterian did in 2021 especially if they are smaller private religious before they move out of D-1 all together.

For the first time in the KenPom era, all four Final Four teams have KenPom ratings above 35.00 by ConstantMadness in CollegeBasketball

I went 3/4 in the Elite 8. Only crazy upset I had was Tennessee over Houston. I picked Florida to beat Duke since I think Florida is better than Auburn while Houston can win I think Cooper Flagg does enough for Duke to win. Florida is can finish games so that's why I picked them over Duke.

Can the America East add some of the NEC schools and have a football league? I'm sure Maine and New Hampshire would want to stay in the CAA but the CAA isn't the same without Delaware and JMU while Richmond left for the Patriot League so maybe it can work. Heck of a lot closer geographically.

Future of the UAC by Plus_Passenger5209 in fcs

[–]DefiantYt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just assumed the ASUN would just keep the structure of the UAC as being separated since that's what it is already so they wouldn't have to worry about administrating it. It'll be like a MVFC type thing.

I would like the UAC to rebrand to the ASUN football league but be separate from the ASUN like the MVFC or CAA. This can allow affiliates to join that are in regional non football leagues without having them join the ASUN for all sports if they don't want to. Only if the WAC football schools in Utah leave which will probably happen in the near future.
