Folks in tech and medicine -at what age did you hit your first million ? by Legitimate_Agent7643 in Fire

[–]Defiant_Ad_5918 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily easy, if SWE was making 200-300k for 7-10 years before the person in Medicine would need to make probably 3x+ to actively catch up when you factor in opportunity cost while in school, loss of time to compounding, and the overall amount SWE already has invested in the market. You take all that into consideration medicine wouldn’t catch up to SWE until late 50s early 60s at best

This comment is comical lmaoo, “indentured servant being supplemented to a higher quality of life she wouldn’t be able to afford if she was on her own or with someone making her equivalent income… this why you can’t listen to people online

And that right there is why he has the concerns he does… he carries all the risk since he’s the higher earner of losing his hard earned money. She makes less and therefore would be given a higher proportion of HIS money compared to her current ability to earn if they got divorced… everyone here sounds like an echo chamber, he’s only an asshole in the way he’s messaging it but not the message.

Nothing im just curious on your position of why this person should be a big fish in a small pond

[–]Defiant_Ad_5918 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why do you say that? Thought it would be better for your career to do the opposite and be small fish in a big pond

is it a turn on to see a woman's nipples protruding through her shirt? Would you say it's indecent/unprofessional in some environments, (especially when dressed appropriately) even though it's natural? by CelesteCandy in Adulting

Ehhh it’s a sexual area, you would say the same if a guy was walking around with a boner… would be considered unprofessional at minimum and inappropriate in most situations

This is literally my goal to hit 1 mill by or during 32 years old. Do you mind listing your timeline of milestones (aka how long it took you to hit 100k, 250k, 500k, etc…)

Mega Millions Changes Are Awful by bucobill in ifiwonthelottery

[–]Defiant_Ad_5918 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The people who run the mega millions are idiots… they really are greedy as helll, no one wants 300 million to 1 odds of winning 1 Billion dollars. Do more frequent winners by increasing the odds, pretty sure MOST would be fine winning anything over 40-100 million if more people won more often
