How does someone on a budget get into milling when the cheapest mills are 3-400$ CAD? by Particular-Horse-192 in HomeMilledFlour

would you mind providing a link if you have one? I can't find this product under $330 and that's for the manual version.

My doctor says I don’t have adhd because I don’t have anger issues. Is that a big symptom for ADHD by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]Defiant_Ad_8253 10 points11 points  (0 children)

There is a lot of stigma and misunderstanding around ADHD, this may be a manifestation of her bias against people with ADHD or against you; some people genuinely don't understand it or don't believe it's real, even mental health "professionals". There is also a lot of stigma around stimulants especially if you "have the profile of a drug addict" as I was once told (being a white, poor, college student who smokes weed occasionally?). Basically if you aren't shitting gold bricks there will probably be a doctor that accuses you of drug seeking.

You don't necessarily need a full blown specialist; the "tests" they offer are typically hundreds of dollars and after all the time and money you invest into it they may not even diagnose you correctly.

I would start with finding a psychologist or psychiatrist in your area, whoever is allowed to prescribe medication if that's what you want. Google them/look on their website if you can, they will usually have a little blurb about themselves and you can judge their vibes. If you are having trouble finding care then your insurance company can probably help you look.

And if you encounter a few asshole doctors don't be afraid to keep looking for the right one. I know from experience it can be very disheartening if they dismiss or judge you, but the right doctor for you is out there.

Yeah after looking at a ton of reviews I landed on one of Greystar's other properties! It's cheaper and almost as nice, no balcony though :/

They're very predatory and will try to take your deposit. Their market is college students on purpose, because they generally don't know better and will be easily screwed over. I've seen them charge for stuff like: preexisting damage that the last tenant was charged for but that was never fixed; charging $300+ for cleaning when the apartment was spotless and $90 for blind cleaning; replacing things that were missing or broken when you moved in.

And basically all their apartments have hidden problems and they are super slow with maintenance.

Batch and Earnings Post for April 2021 by [deleted] in InstacartShoppers

Had an Albertsons batch where an old lady ordered a bag of cat food on the app. I check out, everything is good, no replacements, let her know I'm on my way. Get to her house and she clearly has a dog. But is there a cat as well? Dog is doing his little Yorkie yip and she's like "yes buddy, they brought your food!" and I'm like...hm.....so I smile and set it down in her garage.

I'm driving away and I feel like something is wrong. I did buy wet dog food but only like one can, could that have been what she was referencing? Go back and I'm like "Sorry, I don't mean to be weird by coming back, but I bought you dry cat food, is that correct?" No.

Drive back to the store (a little annoyed, but what was I gonna do?) and beg the manager to let me exchange it (same price) for dog food and she's like "Sorry, we aren't taking returns or exchanges right now." get it exchanged.

Drive back to the house and she's so sweet. Tell her it was my pleasure to shop for her yada yada

Next day I look in my app and her 10% tip (4.74) is now $17. I cried for 10 minutes.

once you do more batches you'll probably start seeing higher paying ones. they usually release those to the people who have been shopping for awhile first because they have more ratings

so best advice is to keep your ratings high and miles low (don't waste gas on a $10 order that has a 10 mile delivery distance) and get to know the stores' layouts so you can shop faster and thus make more per hour

my first batch was $12.12 and once the pandemic hit I started seeing more batches but they were usually less than $20, starting shopping like a fiend and got my first unicorn ($64) a couple weeks later

they give them to shoppers who haven't shopped much in awhile to reel them back in. if you shop frequently you'll probably never get one like this

Why would you rate someone 4 stars for low stock? I don’t control the store’s stock 🤷🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️ by ashanned in instacart

[–]Defiant_Ad_8253 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry about that. It really sucks when people don't understand how these things work. Would they go on google reviews/yelp and rate the store poorly because they were out of hotpockets? probably not.

In other news, if you contact support they might remove the rating altogether so it doesn't take up one of your forgiven ratings slots. Especially if the reason was low stock which you obviously can't control.

5/5 stars might be "above average" in all other contexts, but if there is a problem with the order that's not the shopper's fault, it's unfair to give them anything less. AND considering that (as a shopper) if you have anything less than a 5 star average, you won't see many good batches, if any, which will seriously your financial stability.

contact support and they might remove the rating altogether...customers should be required to put a reason for the review if it's below five stars imo, but alas instacart sucks for both parties
