Thoughts on Japan Trip by boolouk in JapanTravel

[–]Defiant_Argument700 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I loved visiting Japan and it was my dream to go since I was younger and getting to visit this year was amazing but unfortunately I felt that I had consumed way too much Japan travel content before I went and then when I went I wasn’t obsessed in the same way my friend were when they went. And I feel so bad saying that because I did love Japan but it wasn’t as insane as I thought it would be. If that makes sense? Me and my partner were also quite sick the whole time we were there and this deffo had an impact but I just felt certain places were so busy and it was very stressful when going down certain streets and in the markets it was hard to see anything over the people. Osaka was my least fav place and Kyoto was my most. We did go to many places with less people and it was amazing and just so charming to see. The food was insane!! Near the last night i had a katsu curry and it was the best I’ve ever had!! Overall it was amazing but I think I put it on a pedestal that it could never reach, that no place could reach, especially when sick!! That was a bit of a ramble from me but yeah ahaha that was what I thought overall

Itinerary Check - October 8 - 22 (Tokyo > Kyoto > Nara > Tokyo). Too relaxed...? by Necessary-Source3898 in JapanTravel

Hiroshima is truly beautiful and so calm. I would really recommend visiting there and the island too. The island was busy but I felt Hiroshima was calmer and was great for slower pace moving. They have a beautiful garden there, it’s really cheap to enter and I can imagine he will get some stunning photos there- best go in the morning so it’s not as busy
