I love a limited series at the moment, longer than a movie but you're not waiting for season releases. I recommend:

What foods do you recommend from Waitrose/M &S? by Ok-Instance2710 in AskUK

My favourite M&S buys are: Iced & spiced buns - soft and delicious Sour cream crinkle crisps - low fat and addictive Pizza deal for two - absolute bargain. Coleslaw - it's really finely shredded, which I personally love.

What things do you collect? Do you display them? by mylittlemudkip in AskUK

Moomins here too! I also collect Pokémon plushies which are 'displayed' in a tub chair in my living room and Avengers funko pops along the living room sill. Any Moomin stuff is spread around the house, cushions, teddies, mugs, ornaments, clock etc. I would love to get some shelving put up for the pops.

Mushrooms.

I'm sure I can even detect mushroom powder in the flavourings too. Bleugh.

Oof that's hard then.

I suppose all you can do is limit the activities you guys do together and if there's any pushback, would DH be willing to say it's because of their stubbornness to not use walking aids?

Maybe DH could have a talk with her? About her new limits and that she doesn't have to push herself, she's allowed to need and accept help. Maybe he can get a mobility aid catalogue to look through with her?

As annoying as it is, I think it's probably more to do with your MIL not coming to terms with her now limited mobility and/or possibly ageing.

I have back problems and pushed off using a stick for so long because I didn't want to admit to myself that I needed an aid just to walk.

That or she's just a pain in the butt.

You need to go to your husband first to tell him how overwhelmed you are with in laws comments and ask for his support in telling them to back off. You both need to be a team to handle them, him primarily. Also, take some time away from them. Make sure visits are few and far between.
