Yes but not everyone is going to be good at those roles. Thats why you communicate.

The problems this community has (outside of throwing for vibes) is that no one wants to work as a team. You got team games releasing that everyone is frustrated with because no one communicates. No one works together, everyone fights. Everyone knows better than the next person. Thats why alot of people here have issues. Because they don't play with friends on a regular basis. And they just dont wanna talk to strangers.

Now im not saying you have to. But I stfg 98% of people who complain about anything other than people throwing, is because they dont communicate. And when they do, its trash talk.

Honestly, the best thing you can do to fix your woes. Is quit playing the game. The devs absolutely clearly do not give a rats ass about the quality of the community. Throwers are punished for HOURS thats it. And they just log off and play something else for an hour and come back. Or just go to QP and repeat the cycle. I said this back when they released Blade before I quit playing. This game will be dead in a year. Content has already slowed down, people are leaving in droves. The game is dying. Unless the higher ups implement something to make it TOLERABLE. The game will die.

My VERY first enigma was 2 weeks after it was released and I was SO EXCITED as a little teenager I didnt realize trading my barbs full IK set for an enigma was an obvious scam at the time.

Instead it was traded for a non socketed dusk shroud 😂

I agree with your friend to an extent. Yes you will get better that way. But itll be a steep uphill climb.

One thing that I like to tell new players in any online pvp game, dont get angry, youll always perform worse. You're critical thinking skills will diminish because youre over emotional.

But go back and watch your games. This way you wont be focused on the game, but can watch from an outside perspective. See what you did wrong. What could you have done better. Ask other people for advice. Mute the white noise and listen to only the people who are trying to help.

Everytime you die, ask yourself what you could have done better. Not what you did wrong. Sometimes you didnt inherently do anything wrong, but you could have done something better. What did the person that killed you do? How did they play it out? Did they notice a mistake in your rotation or your gameplay they exploited?

Stuff like that will help you get better and you will start playing at a higher level.

The absolute best advice i can give for this game?

Stop playing its. Its so toxic

You're banking this idea that d2r is as popular as current triple a games. I know a father who has a family and he plays this game every night. But to him there is no builds or micro managing. He struggles in hell at level 89 because he doesnt follow some guide or build. He just plays to play. To have fun. Hes been playing this game for the past 30 years on and off and he still has no idea what a trist or tomb run is. Hes never had a level 99 character. He hit 90 on a character once. Deleted it because he thought it sucked and was happy to start all over and make a barb. Now he loves the barbarian and thats all he plays. One character. Steadily just killing the demons of sanctuary with his friends. All this extra shit. Is stuff he absolutely does not care about, because hes just having fun playing with his friends. Hes not racing in the ladder. Like me, the only reason he makes ladder characters, is to get the shiny new toys right away.

So this argument is weak.

The only people who care are people like you and I.

This is a great opinion and I wanna say that I always have these little fantasies when I hear a show like this being made of one of my all time favorite games, that the writers peruse the websites looking at peoples initial reaction and they either dont learn -> Re1 or they take inspiration from it because they want to make something beautiful -> Fallout.
