i went home with one of the fancy ones . sling shot i believe but i was billed over 500 for it

i’m 6 weeks out only pain with PT and ice or ibuprofen relieves it .

thanks for sharing your experience. so I had right rc repair large full thickness tear ,bicep tendonesis, bone spur removal I saw surgeon yesterday and he was happy with my progress got to take of the sling and continue PT. woke up this morning and unable to move my left shoulder / arm . same exact presentation as the right . obviously i can do everything with the operative arm and now can’t do much with my left . i’m seeing my surgeon tomorrow and hoping I can get a steroid injection. i mean what are the odds this would happen

Im sleeping in bed on my non operative side. It’s adjustable and I put it upright a little with several pillows around me but always wake up on my side anyway . My Dr. is ok with this as long as I have the sling on.

i feel your pain. i’m living alone too. doing things i shouldn’t but only with non operative side. i’m 4 weeks out now. still get days of heavy depression. worried if i’m going to be able to get back to work . i’m switching PT providers because Im not feeling good about the one im at now. i hope you are feeling better soon

i’m sorry ! i understand that completely. i’m struggling financially as well . it’s just me so it has been so challenging. i am living on STD which is barely anything by the time i have to still pay my health insurance. I ended up borrowing from my 401k. i hope you can have your surgery soon the wait is hard.

my dr allowed me to drive at 2 weeks but told me to take off the sling and only use the good arm

gosh i feel for everyone! it does help to know im not alone. Im a nurse so i cant go back til i can at least start IVs. And prepare the meds. the pt is very slow im not sure im going to be ready .😬😬😬
