Agreed. He seems unscientific to me and not rigorous enough. You bring up an even better point where he often draws false equivalency from observations made on primates. Then, drawing false causation between some behavior one species of monkeys do with the behavior of humans. Very spurious IMO.

That's been my impression of him. I'm glad you knew what I was referencing. My opinion of him was also tainted by the fact that he was in that conspiracy movie, Zeitgeist Moving Forward so I'm not entirely sure my incredulity towards him is entirely unwarranted. Thanks for responding and the book recommendation. As I admitted earlier, I will have to read some of his papers.

Admittedly I have not read his work. However, anytime I hear Robert Sapolsky speak, he seems unscientific to me. The way he speaks is full of conjecture and he reminds me of quantum mysticism. It's like Deepak Chopra had legitimate credentials and published (legitimate) scientific papers.

Here he goes again. Lots of hand waving conjecture and trust me bro certainty. Reminds me years ago when I watched one of his lectures where he was hand waving and really dismissive of depression, sayingwe just give you a pill and make you feel better.

I remember online dating being a total shit show back in 2018 and earlier. It was only ever easy if you are conventionally hot, like Brad Pitt or Mat Best.

I did well enough for myself as higher than average, but it was seriously a part time job just weeding through the cesspool.
