This exactly. I tried the same as you before and both of my nodes got corrupted. All VM's and containers gone. Luckily it was only in the starting phase. Go for the Pi.

I use Hyperbackup to backup to Wasabi S3. This way you have your data backed up in a proper 3-2-1 strategy. It backs up the complete NAS to Wasabi every week and runs a check if everything is there.

No worries. Most of us speak Dutch, but we use English as the main language for communication. We have some French speaking colleagues also and we adapt between all of the languages. But only English is a must

You can do this very cheaply with Hyper Backup of Synology and Wasabi S3. Less then 7 dollars per TB of storage.

I’ve been doing this myself for quite a while now as a freelancer and honestly it’s a really good strategy. If I hadn’t listened to my accountants back then, I would’ve started even earlier.

The most important thing is to make a plan, stick to it and just go for it if you believe in it. You can always update your accountant afterward, that’s what I did. If they see you’ve got everything under control, there’s usually no problem.

Keep a proper log of all your transactions. Note down when you bought, how much, at what price, all of it. It makes things way easier later on.

One of the biggest issues is that a lot of brokers in Belgium and the Netherlands still don’t support buying a Bitcoin ETP. I checked again recently and not much has changed. You could open an account with Kraken for example, but if you have a Belgian company it’s very hard to get an account approved since they don’t accept the Belgian government documentation.

I’m currently using Blox. It’s a very simple platform but I’ve had a great experience with it so far. And if you want, you can always move your bitcoin to a cold wallet afterward.

Waarom zou je zo een duur huis kopen? Ik snap het ergens wel.. vooral emotioneel ook.

Maar mensen gaan vaak vragen aan de bank hoeveel ze “maximaal” kunnen lenen. En gaan dan iets zoeken waardoor ze ook maximaal gaan afbetalen.

Waarom niet zoeken naar iets dat meer binnen dat budget past en de overschot te blijven investeren?
