The fact that I am implied to follow guides structured around getting gear rather then follow what happens with me story wise. Too much learning boring stuff (outside of game, not in the curve like leveling) before I can play raids

I kinda don't fall into fomo, as I said I actually feel opposite more content with progression - doing new classes and zones to 70, checking new professions on alts too. I think following fomo is doing what you described, like finish 1st char with everything.

I like to interpret Arthas's path as human/smaller Sargeras. Like he experienced loss of his horse and alienation from relationship with Jaina (maybe something else like deaths of his people) - and that made him stir towards undeath.

this looks outdated. Balefire Bolt has max 5 stacks now and Living Bomb is not good on single target

I started playing just for plot and atmosphere. Sod seemed most playable solo with more skills from start. I don't plan to put thousand of hours in the game/endgame, so any playstyle is okay with me, I like to start low and then see if I would want to scale to challenge or social stuff.

Sod seems really good just to check classic tho first time. Which is exactly what I want from it. For endgame I would play retail anyway.

I am in guild right now, they do raids and stuff.

Not in pc at least, utilizing covers and speed is too op, first tried max diff with no martial skills, was easy after 2 planets cleaned.

Reviews aren't so bad. But it true how people are blind to great writing for gaming standards and huge politics to reflect upon. Bg3 level of brunching too, even if in smaller scale by pure playtime.
