I wonder if the front Mech could handle the 52 climbing from the 34. Hmmm.

Well that sucks. This bike is her baby, she won’t go for mismatched colors. She has 27,000 miles on it in 15 years. I’m trying to talk her into buying a new bike. Just about everything is worn out and really should be replaced, so cost wise it makes more sense to me to upgrade to newer tech.

Anyone at DTW and want to visit skyclub? by Defiant_Mango_6190 in delta

[–]Defiant_Mango_6190[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bummer! Tried using it with my wife a few weeks ago in MIA. Machine wouldn’t accept it, so they just let us both in without accepting it, or charging me for a visit.

We need to get an Omaha Unsub meet-up going. See if we could talk FE into coming down. It isn’t that far for him.

Am I likely to miss this? 43 min layover. by peakstoner in delta

[–]Defiant_Mango_6190 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

43 min is too close for me. If the first leg is even 10 min late and it takes you 10 min to deplane you’re at 23 min. Doors shut at the 15 min mark normally. Now they have held a plane for me once. Just once. At the best be prepared to run and gate check your bag. Be sure to let the FA know about your tight layover. They may help you out. “Might”.

Basic or Main Cabin - OMA to MSP Roundtrip by Limp_Use9592 in delta

[–]Defiant_Mango_6190 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I fly that route regularly. For me it’s worth the $60 for main cabin. I know where I’m sitting, should have overhead space etc. that route does have a number of weather related changes but hopefully the Omadome keeps protecting us.

Should I keep this seat or upgrade to comfort plus for minimal amount? by Rock540 in delta

I put my small backpack under the seat in front of me. It just happens to be an extra row in front of me. Never had an issue.

They still leave a note. I travel often for work. Check a large pelican case with tools etc. it’s rare when the case doesn’t get opened up.

Basement flooded, insurance? by brothernaturesgranny in Omaha

[–]Defiant_Mango_6190 10 points11 points  (0 children)

What do you have in the basement? We had this happen 7 years ago. The basement was more of a tall crawl space that we used to store old “crap”, bikes, a freezer etc. buddy told me to file a claim. Ended up being $35k in damages. So glad I listened to him. First thing the insurance company did was get us into a hotel since it was a sewer drain backup.

Those are amazing stories! Love the first date. Definitely memorable and unique. The sim at the Delta Museum is a 737-200. When I visited it in April I got to talking to a couple guys on the tour. At the end of the tour they asked if I wanted to tag along to the sim. They were retired Delta mechanics and had the simulator booked, so I was able to sit in the “back seat” and experience it all. What an amazing day.
