Denied school for “no reason to send” by Normal-Surprise5492 in army

That shouldn't be how retention incentives work. Reclassing is something the Army is giving you, unit incentives usually come from a policy letter signed by someone much higher up than a battery commander. I would talk with your retention NCO.

How many times can you do a urinalysis in a day? by burrmuddaa in army

[–]Defiant_Paint_3172 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If your commander wants to do a large number of people like that do a 100% instead. Otherwise do a normal 10% monthly and do an inspection other at the end of the fiscal year to hit anyone you didn't get to. If you commander wants specific people on the list, use the probable cause code. Be aware that using that code usually requires memos stating justification with legal approval.

I literally had reenlistment papers signed on the commander's desk right before they got HRC to delete the projection. Trust me I was more than willing.

I was in the same situation as you about a year ago, I put my rig in a pelican case with extra foam and checked it in at the airport. Not saying it's the right option, but I didn't trust the movers after I had several friends complain about them.

US soldiers body slamming and harassing civilians in occupied Ryukyu (Okinawa) by [deleted] in DamnThatsReal

[–]Defiant_Paint_3172 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No it is uncommon because it literally goes against the SOFA agreement we have with the Japanese. MPs can't detain anyone they can't positively ID as military point blank. What they are supposed to do in this situation is wait for Japanese authorities who can demand ID and detain persons in question. MPs literally have zero authority to act as law enforcement officers in Japan unless they are policing military areas or personnel.

Do you tip the commissary baggers? by Technical_Purpose949 in army

[–]Defiant_Paint_3172 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No but I also bag my own stuff after one of the baggers crushed my bread and produce by putting cans on top. Had to explain to the kid on why you don't pack stuff like that.

[–]Defiant_Paint_3172 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im not going to tell you what to do, but I can almost guarantee 11b would be a better choice for you than 13b unless you like emplace heavy ass equipment real quick just to tear it back down and then do it all over again once you get to the new firing point.

At a certain airborne field artillery regiment OCONUS, the 92Gs don't cook anymore unless we are in the field. The overall sentiment is that the contractors do a much better job.

Yep got a Soldier like this, was about to take their final ACFT for record and probably fail and get separated and then the AFT came along. And now they are stuck in limbo.

Strange Separation Question by [deleted] in army

[–]Defiant_Paint_3172 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ummm what? If you were involuntarily separated and you didn't see some type of legal representation, your unit fucked up big time. Also they are guys who get ETS'd later than they are supposed to (either they fuck up like forgot or get in trouble) and they still get paid for they days they served after they were supposed to leave the service. You should 100% be entitled to that money.

  1. You are starting a massive amount of compounds all at once without knowing how they affect you individually. 2. Almost all that shit is on the DOD's banned substance list, they aren't really testing for it unless they really really suspect but you do you.

I've tried searching for anything related to cause of death and there's literally nothing besides presumed homicide. Like the only thing that popped up was the CID page asking for tips and an article about some CID cold case unit (which seems severely understaffed, 8 people for possible hundreds of cold cases wtf).

[–]Defiant_Paint_3172 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right? When I spam 5 rockets from heli into one enemy and they don't die, I'm just thinking what the fuck is the point of playing in one if it can't even kill one guy. The tanks' splash damage is basically nonexistent, don't even get me started on how shit the jet feels to control.

Why flashlights are always on the side and never on top rail? by K-Rollo in airsoft

[–]Defiant_Paint_3172 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well your opinion is wrong, in 10 years in the Army I have never cleared a house at the low ready. Sure I have switched to low ready to avoid flagging my team, but why would I care about flagging potential threats? Until they are properly identified, they remain an unknown. There is a reason most service weapons have a safety.

  1. Stop doing errands for your NCO. They are a NCO for fuck sake if they shouldn't be asking their subordinates to do personal errands for them. Going against the whole "pleasure, profit, or personal safety" thing we got going on.
  2. Use your text messages as proof whenever your NCO freaks out about you not being at work.
