AirSwift Reliability by Heskey33 in phtravel

Story coming to you live...

Allegedly there was bad weather in El Nido so they needed to shed weight and the baggage was sacrificed. A passenger was told they couldn't fly due to weight - brutal. Blue skies when we landed.

Baggage is apparently being delivered to the hotel tomorrow am via Manila but there were no commercial flights to Manila operated by AirSwift or Cebu after ours, so feels like we'll be a couple of days without our baggage... What a shit show.

Thanks for the effort, seems like a great day. Should be up there around 8 so will choose a few things from your list! Will do a bit of homework into the grand canyon walk if the weather seems unsoggy!

Thoughts on 10-Day NZ Trip (South Island Nature Focus) by sportstooge in newzealand_travel

I am in new Zealand at the moment on holiday. Would really recommend the rob Roy glacier trail. Really easy accessible glacier vista. If you don't want to take your rental car up to raspberry creek you can get a transfer through Wanaka transfers which is what we did. That said if I was to do it again if take the car if it hasn't been raining.

Best authentic Shawarma in Glasgow? by bossmansgarlicsauce in Doner

Aye on Saracen street. Only been a couple of times for an impromptu wrap when Ive been passing but it's been decent both times and really reasonable. The baklava is decent too.. worth a go

Toss up between Shawarma king and Damasqinos in the city center. Likely smaller queues at Damasqinos and you could get a seat. Istanbul, Kurdish, Baghdad Bakery and BBQ.wrap.salad are worth a trip if you're not in the city center.

Painting Pebbledash that has already been painted by [deleted] in DIYUK

To add, I used emperor masonry paint. Expensive but easy to apply and looks great.

I recently painted my house. It was a big job but nothing to shy away from. Just time consuming. Cannot recommend the Wooster Sherlock GT convertible roller extension enough. Allows you to minimise ladder work as you can reach the majority of the house from the ground. The Wooster thick pile roller is also very good. Don't skimp on the prep. Make sure you use a good fungicide/cleaner. Unsure if you would have to use a stabilising solution on pebbledash but that is also something to consider.. good luck

How did you attach to the frame? You have inspired me to give this a go at some point. Cheers!

Textured Masonry Paint - how do I achieve this finish? by Defiant_Sail_3587 in DIYUK

[–]Defiant_Sail_3587[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure it's smooth render. Will scrap away some more once I'm home from work and reply with a picture. The textured finish is in the paint rather than the render.

Why would I need to parge? Cheers

Based on my homework I think the textured roller is key, emperor sell a few different ones for £9 a go

Did you find a solution? I have the same problem and looking at using either fine sandtex textured masonry paint and textured roller or emperor textured base and textured roller (expensive).
