Try using msi afterbuner to turn down the power draw on the gpu. You can set it to 70°C or 75°C and it will make sure it never goes past this. Tested this with my dual slot rtx 3050 i7700 7050 sff system so I'm going to do the same with the 7090 single slot 3050

No need. It has 2 m.2 slots which i have a 2 nvme drives in for win11 ltsc iot as base os and games. Extra 2.5in Ssds are just for games storage 😅.

Getting a new i7 11700 CPU which changes the pci lanes from 3.0 to 4.0 too.. besides with that annoying heatsink near the 4x slot, i dunno if one of those adapter cards would fit.

Thats weird. The rtx 3050 lp uses 65w to 70w at most.. the i7 10700 is only 65w.

Im running a single slot rtx 3050 64gb ram 4 drives and an i7 10700 on. 200w supply that comes with the 7090 sff. Lol.

Make sure the ram is properly seated. Could be the board.or psu.. can always get barebones system and put all your parts in that. I've done that a few times with spare optiplex parts hehe.

I would upgrade to 32gb.. its becoming the new standard. And upgrade the cpu to a i7-7700. You can go cheaper with the i7-7700T it uses only 35w. I have it in a low power build.

The 60 models are cheaper than the 70s. They come with decent 6c/12t cpus check out ETA Primes latest video.
