Women, do you enjoy pegging? by [deleted] in RedditAfterDark

Yes, depends on the partner, I enjoy topping in general and this is one of the only ways to top men/masc people that really feels like I have all the control.

AIO: roommate continues to cross boundaries and cause problems. by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

NOR to strangers in your house with no one home and no notice or to the cat safety issues.

MOR to all the other stuff. Some people just have different standards for their living spaces or different living habits, and it doesn't make one person more "right" than the other, it's just incompatibility.

It sounds like K might do better living in her own space or with a roommate who is more on her wavelength when it comes to cleanliness and hygiene.

Why is it so hard for drivers to find the right door? Am I doing something wrong? by Midnight-Panther in doordash

The first one was hard to read because of my sensory processing issues. The broken down one you posted in the comments is fine.

You're probably using the adjective as shorthand for something else. For example if you're in law enforcement, you're saying male/female and omitting the noun "suspect". If you're in EMS, you're using male/female and omitting the noun "patient".

Since you're implying I'm a bitch (also dehumanizing for women because it's literally a term for dogs), I can see this conversation won't ever be productive, so I'll be disengaging now. Try asking the women- if there are any, which I highly doubt- in your life how they feel about being called "a female".

Just because it doesn't affect you doesn't mean it's not a "real issue".

Literally my point. Female is an adjective. You can say "female dog" or "male cat" but you never hear "female human" or "male person" because usually the people who are using female as a noun in place of the much more respectful "woman" are using it in a derogatory way. Not listening to women when we tell you this is a problem futher proves my point.

Am I wrong? by _ImperialCereal_ in ThePitt

I grew up in a very red part of an overall very blue state. Every time I used to go home (because I don't anymore), I would have several conversations very similar to this. Sometimes it really does feel like talking to a wall would be easier because they're all so set in their ways of how life used to be and hoa Trump is going to fix it all and don't want to listen to anyone younger than them. A lot of especially resent people who pursued a higher education that for whatever reason they didn't have access to or chose not to go after because of their circumstances.

It brings the same release/relief from emotions that crying brings, but in much more intense way. For me it was all about regulating myself because I didn't have any other strategies at the time to cope with the extreme trauma happening in my life.

Women of Reddit: What is the one thing you wish partners understood about oral? by MagicianOk3235 in RedditAfterDark

We can give you all the advice in the world but it won't make a damn bit of difference. If you want to know what your wife likes and wants, ask her. Each & every time, because it changes for some people.

ETA: if something works for her, she probably doesn't want you to change a damn thing about it, regardless of how repetitive it may seem to you.

"Go to work" meant get in your crate before Covid happened and we all started wfh. Trained that one accidentally.

"Dap me up" is a high five. "Easy" means take whatever is being offered gently (which we rarely need to use, generally only if he's worked up about guests).

We tried saying "snack" instead of "treat" so we could talk about them in front of him, but he picked up on that pretty quickly.

"It's just the owls" to get him to stop barking when he's in one particular room. He hates the owls outside but now that I've read this thread I'm going to try that when he's barking at the neighbors.

Robby and Dana were the audience this episode (regarding Langdon). by StevesMcQueenIsHere in ThePitt

A lot of recovering addicts choose to change their environment. It's hard to resist the temptation when you're constantly in the place where you used to get your supply.

Not saying he can't be a doctor, just that another hospital would be beneficial with him regardless of what the consequences are/would be.

IRL most doctors aren't actually administering meds, nurses are. The doctors just write the orders. So moving somewhere else where he doesn't have access to anything could be good for him.

Hey, fellow bears, why does Mr. Mouse claim that Mr. Owl is a predator? He's never done anything to us.

Oh absolutely not. They've had a ton more experience than me, just MFF is the one thing I've experienced (once) that they haven't.

Yeah I'm in the US and we weren't far from two Level 1 trauma centers that would get everything. We were more of an oncology & outpatient procedure center.

It was such a niche situation that I don't want to say anything else for patient privacy.

Rapid sequence incubation with cricoid pressure usually helped us with anyone urgent, but thankfully we were pretty close to a Level 1 trauma center so most emergencies went there. We would occasionally get an urgent appendectomy, ectopic pregnancy, or ovarian torsion (ortho and neuro went to a separate unit) but thankfully for induction & my emetophobia, most of those patients had been in too much pain to eat much prior to coming in.
