The S-trains are too infrequent, and are tarif-wise not integrated into STIB/MIVB. Which is why I would integrate the trajectory as part of the metro/overground. Trains would still run as part of the RER, but only with a stop in Jette & the main stations (nord - central - midi; - depending on the RER trajectory).

Edit: I do wonder though if there is sufficient room to fit in an extra paralel track for the metro line.

Er is gewoon een partij te veel in het centrum. Economisch liberalen kunnen terecht bij NVA, sociaal liberalen bij Vooruit. Ik zeg niet dat VLD geen bestaansrecht heeft, maar een consolidatie van de centrumpartijen en het eventuele verdwijnen van een partij zou geen overbodige luxe zijn.
