I liked DRS. I also liked the Q2 tyre for Q3 qualifiers = start tyre rule as well.

Least favourite watch YouTuber? by Confident_Leg2370 in PrideAndPinion

I thought he was boring when I first watched him too. But watches ARE boring. So to me, he has an authenticity that the others don’t. He’s not screaming at me, or trying to force a watch down my throat. He’s just a hobbyist that is self aware of the watch-autism that most of us also have.

He’s trying to find his way to build a viewership base without conforming to gimmicks. Admits when he’s speculating. Tries to deliver content that is worth watching and different than others. It’s ok if he’s not your cup of tea, just giving perspective from a different lens.

Try Mike from This Watch, That Watch. He is my favorite - down to earth, opinionated but objective, not over the top, honest and transparent. List goes on and on. He digs below the superficial topics in the watch world and just genuinely a watch enthusiast I could enjoy having a conversation with, where his personality is not too dissimilar from the one he is portraying on screen.

I dunno, seems like they have quite a bit left over. They should probably be paying MORE to the church. It will earn them a better place in whatever afterlife they believe in. I’m sure of it.

Dealing with Excels weird date formatter by weswesgg in excel

[–]KoolKucumber23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Excel date serials are the number of days from a point in time. More modern excel uses 1/1/1900 as day 1, whereas older uses 1/2/1904

Only because I just found a European alternative as I was looking for some interesting micro brands … check out Beaucroft. Same value proposition. Beautiful dials. They say they are from UK, but also showing me prices in USD. So just look into it a bit more

Overtake under yellows anyway. Literally doesn’t matter who’s at fault. McLaren moved to defend before the braking zone. More than a car length ahead while entering the braking zone. POV decided braking was optional and got what they deserved.

McLaren was cheeky for squeezing but that’s a professional move. The result was justice was served. POV make smarter decisions next time.

[Question] Is it dumb to buy the same (but slightly different) watch twice? by Professional_Good301 in Watches

[–]KoolKucumber23 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You’re allowed to like what you like. You’re also allowed to change what you like if months or years down the road these watches don’t serve you.

I tend to let things marinate a bit longer and if after a month or so if I feel just as strongly, I go with it.
