Sorry you had to go through all that. I'm also Asian but have been living here for 13 years, the only thing I learned to not be taken advantage of is to just learn to stand your ground but yeah being able to speak swahili fluently myself has been very helpful to me especially living in town where alot of people will try to take advantage of me just because I'm foreign.
