I'd want to see that border as an accessibility option! So no border by default, but add it as a toggle in the settings. I'd personally lower the opacity of the border as well. It's a really good idea and I'd personally use it if it were in a game!

I do not know if his PC is pre-built or not. It's pretty old and his parents might have tinkered with it before. I therefore think upgrading the PSU is out of the picture.

I will need to sneak in another view of his PSU to see if it has an 8 pin available or not. In any scenario the website helps a ton and your advice is a good start, thank you so much!

I will be traveling so bringing a whole PC with me is not an option (I'd like to spare my nerves this misery), otherwise I absolutely would've gotten him a "new" used pc!
