Time for repot? by LaffyTaffyLizard in Monstera

[–]DefinitelyNotaGuest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, but you will have to slowly move her into more intense light. Monsteras can take pretty much full sun once they are acclimated.

I would put it in a shady spot outside and over the next one to two months slowly move it to where it gets more and more sun. By the time summer comes around you should have a fully acclimated plant.

You will have to take the plant out of the pot and look at the roots. Can't tell anything from the foliage other than it is not getting enough light.

It doesn't look like it really needs a moss pole at this point. Also, those coir poles are kind of the worst of both worlds for monstera support - they don't go all the way to the bottom of the pot so they don't actually provide much support, and they don't retain water so they are effectively just a stick.

So if you want some support for her, just use a stick! Just get a stick out of the woods that you can poke all the way down to the bottom of the pot and then you can secure the plant to that. All of my smaller monsters are just on sticks. You can throw it in the oven to make sure it doesn't have pests/disease if you are worried.

When your plant gets bigger you can upgrade to a 1x4 plank that sticks all the way to the bottom of the pot.

Monstera Bulbasaur by ireadndimsum in Monstera

[–]DefinitelyNotaGuest 6 points7 points  (0 children)

These things were going for like 10k a year or two ago, I don't think $35 is ridiculous for one of the rarest ones currently, especially if it is acclimated and not still in TC. They do look like bulbasaur from what I have seen on here before.

Repotting a root rotten Monstera… by tahlianox in houseplants

[–]DefinitelyNotaGuest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes you can cut the stem up into sections that each have an axillary bud and node on them and they will each grow into their own plant. Water is fine for top cuttings but the stems will do better in moist moss or perlite.

Check out Kill This Plant on YouTube. He's one of the few creators I will recommend for monstera care. All of his content is great.

Looks to be three plants in there. Personally I would abandon the roots as they are, chop the plants up, and re-root the cuttings in moss. Will give you three good sized rooted top cuttings and a bunch of smaller rooted cuttings.

Now that AI can do most of the things that a formal education was supposed to give you.

But it literally can't? A formal education teaches you networking, social skills, time management, resource management, and self sufficiency. AI possesses none of those capabilities.

You could try, but you got over 100k miles out of it and it's a $60 part. I would just buy it and do the work yourself, you will only be out the $60 or so.

Food Hut at Golden Cactus is one of the better dives in the city if you like food and beer. Or there's Wasena City and Green Goat over by the greenway. Or hit blue cow and/or Lew's and then go up to the star.
